Abyssal Deadspace now live on Singularity for testing

It has been stated by CCP that they won’t…!

Link?

running T5s, i think the DPS is ok again. The total EHP+speedtank of the pockets might be a little bit too high and i don’t know if i’m on a run of bad luck - but the multiplasmid droprate even in T5s is way too low now, ccplease

The drifter cruiser + 1 BS wave seems to be the most challanging one now in my pov.

It was stated in the keynote speech. They’re only seeded in SISI for testing. Also devs have confirmed ingame

I agree about the drifter bs. They absolutely pound when at their optimal but damage quickly drops as you close on them. I haven’t come across a rogue drone bs in some time.

What filament type tier 5 were you doing?

gamma just now.

yes, the drifter BS alone does more damage than some entire pockets^^ I’ve had one drone BS - it was doable. Its DPS is average, the EHP in the range of OK to a bit high.

Yes, I realize that all the filaments were seeded in-game on SiSi for testing. I was under the impression that at least the F1 filaments would be available from NPC agents (there was mention of this in the keynote). Otherwise, how are the vast majority of players going to access this new content?

yeah it is doable. just you have to respond quickly!

By buying tier 1 filaments off data site runners or running their own data sites to get them. As initially this will be the only source.

Were t1 filaments to be seeded to the market there would be zero point in people doing data sites in search of them.

If you want to access the content you have to work to do so. nothing wrong with that!

People will run datasites, bring the loot to HS tradehubs and sell them. You can buy a few and multiply them by running the pockets, since they drop around 2,2 filaments per invested filament. Then you don’t need the data site runners anymore and can sell filaments yourself as you run the pockets. With all that supply, they will become worthless after some time of cause.

I thought players already picked over data sites before filaments because there was some decent loot? This will take cherry-picking to the next level…

Yes, currently the experienced exporers don’t run data sites at all, since they are not worth your time, especially compared to relic sites, which on the long run will not change with how worthless filaments will be. On launchday this will be different ofc, since so many people will want filaments and noone has any -> high price of filaments -> data sites worth running

@My_Cat_Meows what ship are you using for choatic (t5) filaments? And are you using implants/drugs/hardwirings?

ANOTHER BUG:

If you exit a site with very little time left and return to normal space and then immediately re-enter another site you can explode in the 2nd freshly started site due to timer of the first site you completed.

I had 30 sec left got out opened a new site as soon as i could went in immediately exploded

ANOTHER BUG: @CCP_Rise

If for whatever reason your client disconnects (as mine does fairly regularly on SISI - running the client on my Mac), when you re-log and are back in the abyss the timer has disappeared. Which makes completing it very hard. (this is okay on SISI) but if for whatever reason a disconnect was to occur on TQ when the content drops with the update this would be a much more serious problem, and I would be likely to submit a ticket for loss due to no timer (not due to a disconnect).

Is this something that is being resolved. This happens everytime you relog after a disconnect while in an abyssal sequence.

Not just that, should also eliminate stuff like trig BS + 10 trig cruisers with nothing but automata supressors in a lvl 3 isntance. That’s just auto-loss right off the bat. Can’t do it in a turret boat cause no turret support to overcome the tracking disruptors from all the cruisers, can’t jump straight for the BS before it heals up cause again, cruisers, some of which web or TP or neut, can’t do it in a drone boat cause drone agro + 3 supressors, can’t do it in a missle boat cause guidance supression from cruisers + automata supressors.

Only chance is to string them and long range kite 1 by 1, and when you do guess what happens to your timer…

Look i don’t know what exactly molested you inside abysal deadspace but it wasn’t triglavians with 1 bs and 10 cruisers ON FILES we got trig cruisers who only rr neut shoot you or drop drones thats it no other ewar from vedmaks

I’m pretty sure it was drifters or drifters plus seekers which is actualy a well balanced fight for several ships within abysal space tier 4 now it has alot of emphasis on your target decission and if you don’t know the rats and what they do by their names you’re dead.

There’s only the vedmak rush which has 4-5 vedmaks super high dps and possible high neuting amount with very high speed 2km/s and there’s vedmak drone controllers who have tons of crossfire drones.

That is simply not true. a spawn such as that in a tier 3 is very much solvable and poses no real issues at all. You just have to approach that spawn type with a suitable strategy, which is learnt/developed by fighting it numerous times, trying new approaches and simply thinking your actions through…

The majority of the time, facing anything other than a rush demavik group or drone swarm, multi-body tracking pylons or suppressor towers have no real impact upon the strategy used to tackle the swarm in a pocket. against rush demavicks the tracking helps you as they travel over 2km/s, and obvs the drone suppressors are valuable against drones swarms (mostly however only the light - newly renamed - Short-range Deviant Automata Suppressor - as the heavy (Medium-range) suppressor does not do more than minorly beneficial damage and cannot be depended on as a counter to rogue drone swarm spawns.

I had good runs past few days with 500+ dps dual web, dual rep + mwd Deimos in F2 and F3 sites, few times runing into duo Vedmak + support and got denied for even a chance of brawl, they just melted my reps with no chance of disengaging how fast they go.

Now my T2 Phantasm that I was testing earlier in F3 site encountered 5 Leshak and minor support, “Starving Leshak” was neuting from 50km while 4 “Striking Leshak” just melted 1,5k m/s Phantasm.

Fit with Conflag have 500+ dps but even if I had a chance to tank all of them and close the distance to apply I doubt that dps would be enough since they are repping easily 300+dps Scorch from 22km.

One would think that will be material for T4 or T5 sites for deadspace HAC or even blingier hulls, but T3 spawn like that was not expected, did anyone else got similar and how did it go?

After analising some spawns reactions and effects i find it a bit funny watching from the sideline other players struggles, looking back on my own frustrations until i solved the issues i can only say the abysal deadspace is thus far designed as a VERY,VERY rigid environment as far as fitting in order to put the player skills in front it’s quite funny how the devs acheived this through the variations on spawns each designed to negate unwanted playstyles in the abysal pockets aswel as structures and clouds.

This is probably as much as a reveal on why some things do what they do that anyone would get from me,otherwise i look forward to the expansion days, keeping the cards close to my chest for as long as it’ll be possible(oddly enough that’s around when i got free days from work \o/)
