LOL man, again there are other mentions and again this isn’t the only time they mention it. H whatshisface himself stated it as well in the past. You just need to look it up.
I don’t even understand the need to lie about something like that.
At no point has ccp said that new content would only be abyss like procedural stuff. A dev may have suggested it, or you may have thoight you read it somewhere, but it doesn’t exist.
Why would it have been so hard for you to say " I think given what they are saying, we can expect new pve content to be like the abyss stuff". That would have been reasonable.
But in stead you flat out lied about them making a definitive statement. Why?
Whenever making something new, it is always wise to make it better then the old. In this case security missions, or rating have long been a standard for solo pve. Abyssal space is cool looking, so that’s nice. When you get down to shoot em up bang bang and isk farming, abyssal space falls short. With a terrible side effect of dying to a timer.
I suggest a huge boost to rewards, and if the timer stays, just have it port you out when the timer runs out.
Or no timer, and more rewards, and the ability to salvage ships in abyssal space.
Yea… this much will never happen. Nor should it. Risk and reward are related. I do believe that risks outweigh rewards at this point, but only barely, and it’s moreso because the time investment is too significant to make it worthwhile to me.
Remove most of the risk, you can expect to see most of the reward go with it.
I’m not understanding why people are so down on the rewards of AD. Its better rewards for less investment than lots of other activities.
That same guy has done several of those and posted the result.
Because all I have to do is take plates off my carrier and throw a couple extra DDAs on.
Will I make as much isk/hr as him? No, decidedly not. But:
- My risk is effectively zero; I have a cyno and 50 titans ready to blob the ■■■■ out of anything that manages to tackle me
- My exposure is effectively zero, I’m pre-aligned
- My investment is effectively zero, I’m using a hull I also use for pvp
- I can do my pve for a few minutes or a few hours
- I can leave my site at any time without losing whatever I was in
Oh I know, that kind of thing is what I keep talking about when I say CCP should focus on pve people actually do instead of what they SAY they want (ironnically, Abyssal Deadpspace is spot on what people have been asking for for years, now it’s here and the same people don’t care for it lol).
I was just talking about rewards, which is at the heart of most discussions I’ve seen.
I still do Abyss sites, lost a Gila not too long ago, but overall I think that this sums up why we have this feature, and also why it’s not really working.. People were (and still are) sure they want ‘procedural’ this and ‘dynamic’ that.
In reality, what they want is what you just posted…
I can say why Abyss not working for me personally - tt’s 20 min timer.
Anything, what require to switch my attention from game, even for short period of time, mean death sentence for “not so cheap” ship and pod. “Soket closed”, ISP glitch, wife calling me to help with my son, phone call from work, you name it. Lack of control on outcome is deal breaker for me, no reasonable level of reward will fix it.
Yes, I refer to it as instanced due to me being the only player within that cloaked realm and nobody being able to enter it. The game I’m playing while within my cloaked instance is “avoid detection” It’s a good game because it doesn’t require me to do anything. Once I’m done playing my instanced game I am rewarded with survival.
You didn’t at all. You are just sp[outing nonsense time and again.
NO! Go away. Aysmall space should go completely.
More of your crap. Dude, stop posting!
In other words you make up your own definitions for well defined game design terms?
Good luck with that, discussion wise it makes your opinion pointless.
I’d love to see some engaging pve content.
Don’t get me wrong. The content itself in abysmal space is fine. I don’t like that a single cookie-cutter fit is ideal, and I don’t feel it’s worth going (because I pve to pvp, not because I enjoy the pve - abysmal space is not my best way to generate income).
In different circumstances, procedure/dynamic pve content could be fun. Heck, I play a lot of fun single player games… so it’s possible.
Manageable dynamic, random, risky content will always lead to one optimal fit to beat it. The more variables, and with increasing difficulty the less fitting options.
This is why fighting players is the ultimate “end game”, the ultimate content. You just never know what people will do.
For everything else:
- Watch videos
- Copy fit
- Copy Video
- Grind content
- Ask devs for new content
And if Abysmal Space isn’t bad enough, this is what’s next: [Winter] Fleet Abyssal Deadspace Feedback thread - feature now available on Duality Test Server
Arena’s in EvE. The fuckers who predicted EvE would die soon look to be right afterall.
Looking at your posting history i would say it is you not being able to understand what others say.
Look another one whose opinion I don’t give a ■■■■ about.
Eve would not die, it will grove and get more new content and players, despite the resistance from old “HTFU” players.
Finnaly we have some new “Theme park content” and there was more than 2 000 000 Abbysal dives. Obviously, abbysal content proved to be successful and ccp decided to expand it.
I’m not disappointed with content abbysal and I think many players accepted it with great enthusiasm.
Predators who just want their new players to serve as easy prey are certainly not happy with these news but they are a minority and can always fight each other while we are dealing with new abbsyal content.
