It’s pretty ironic that a “new player corp” is pushing for the toughest and most expensive ships to get…it’s kinda like you are just using your new players to get a titian safely for yourself as they are months if not years away from being able to get one themselves (unless they dump real money of course).
Also notice how out of the hundreds of players in your corp supposedly wanting this, only the CEO, who could actually afford one, is pushing for this change…
Maybe teach your people how not to get slaughtered by NPCs first…
I want all highsec players to have a titan as an eventuality, myself is included in that.

There’s nothing that supports the notion that the majority of hi-sec players want capitals in hi-sec. On the contrary, any votes on the matter (there’s been more than one on these forums) has suggested the opposite.
Even if you get access to supers and titans in highsec, nobody will be selling them to you as building them is only possible in nullsec as it needs to be done in sov-null. No alliance or coalition is going to sell these outside of their own alliance/coalition.
Aye those proposals from that other thread can be done to help alleviate the issue raised by wander. Goal of this proposal is neuter capital domination in the game, and allow highsec to enjoy the big ships at the same time.
Would you elaborate? Point by point? Most of what you’ve written on the forums has been about highsec and how you envision empowering new players; but this is different.

Well one of the benefits of my many chats on the forums is an appreciation for different game styles. Remember EVE is a sandbox, the best stance is to give everyone what they want. Over time I realized that while having capitals in highsec would be great for highsec, and my gameplay, I also need to broaden my proposals to include everyone else, and fix problems while I’m at it.
In order to neuter capital domination, we need to look at what the capital does that makes it dominant.
Capital has much more ehp, much more damage, can apply that damage better, carriers/supercarriers especially. Capital can teleport to other systems instantly, capital can buff fleet members and itself, and capital has decent warp speed/agility compared to say a battleship, only 2-3 times slower.
Basically capital beats a sub-cap in every single possible way. In order to fix this problem, you need to make capitals cost more per benefit. Take for example a battleship, it should be the bread and butter of military. If you severely reduce the ehp of capitals, 20 battleships can punch out a super quickly, so capitals now are regulated to high risk high reward scenarios, you throw them on a crucial timer, or you active rep fit them and use them to make isk, and hope they don’t die.
Eve was best when the determining factor of victory in nullsec gameplay was numbers and determination. Now it’s who has the most capitals. In addition, highsec needs more to aspire to than a blingy lv4 ship, having the possibility of owning a titan would be a great goal for many players to have, preventing them from quitting.
And so it’s not offensive when he claims to be talking about the whole HS ?
That
Is ■■■■■■■ offensive.
And yes he keeps posting the same threads again and again, never learning, never discussing, but trying to force an opinion with quantity.
That’s literally how you distinguish cancer from healty cells.
In order to maintain an environment where everyone is welcome and discussion flows freely, certain types of conduct are prohibited on the EVE Online forums. These are:
Trolling
Flaming
Ranting
Personal Attacks
Harassment
Doxxing
Racism & Discrimination
Hate Speech
Sexism Spamming
Bumping
Off-Topic Posting
Pyramid Quoting Rumor Mongering
New Player Bashing
Impersonation
Sure. But when is behavior is literally to keep spamming nonsense every time, this IS a cancerous behavior : you make people agree with you just because of the amount of time they have been exposed to your idea, so that people’s opinion becomes influenced by the quantity rather than intrinsic quality.
That’s the goal of spamming stupid opinions : to rally people to your own even though it is stupid. Because that’s how people brain work, and that’s how you can manipulate people, by spamming half truth, and letting them believe it is truth.
He is trying to make people tired of his BS, so that nobody explains why it’s stupid, and it looks to other people like “nobody is going against this, this must be a good idea”.
What he is doing is propaganda, for a complete (removed a word that continually causes you issues) idea.
It’s not just of him being wrong : it’s him FORCING an idea that has already been proven wrong SEVERAL TIME.
(Removed a really bad analogy - ISD Dorrim Barstorlode)
Sorry for that analogy, but it’s literally the same mechanisms that he is using.
You don’t realize it, maybe you’ve not been in contact with people who use those all the times. But the fact is, he is having the same exact behavior : wear people patience off to make them abide his will. If you want another analogy, it can be the same as when children are crying in public while they don’t in private (not always…).
Sorry, it’s the first example that came to my mind.
I’m not really sure if that one is related though (I didn’t know of this bias before)
The bias is more like, something that is repeated several times tend to feel more correct to people (social mimicry, and the way our brain learn positive things more than negative).
