I believe everyone should keep spreading the legend of the alpha multiboxing fleets. These tears are invaluable when I dunk hulks and retrievers. Not only the miner gets dunked by some -10ss toons… but these toons are playing for free!. The salt produced by the miners was of utmost purity. Please lets keep the legend alive.

Only a complete charlatan fails to grasp the point being made. A loss is a loss. What does it matter to the noob whether his Venture was lost to an NPC or a player ? It is utterly dishonest…but then that’s precisely what I’ve come to expect from you…to try to twist it all round to be about killing NPCs.

Oh everyone understands each other just fine. They just have different viewpoints of the game and what it should be.
The malice is coded into the NPCs by the devs. No, you don’t get to go all John Searle ( aka Chinese Room thought experiment ) on the issue. If I code my car to run someone over, the fact that there is no malice ‘in the car itself’ does not mean there is no malice whatever.
I question this notion that high sec suicide ganking is “zero risk/high reward”. The advantage that suicide gankers have is that they usually have the initiative. They decide if they attack. But it is so easy to take the initiative from them, and at that point all they do is float around a gate/station or roam around. Static suicide ganks on gates require different tactics than roving gangs of catalysts, but with just a handful of simple tactics a pilot can easily defeat gankers most of the time. Suicide ganking is a high-risk tactic that is easy to defeat. It is just that a high percentage of high sec players are too lazy to defend themselves.
Removing pvp competition to protect people who are just not good at the game is going to lead to the death of EvE. It removes the one thing that EvE has over most other MMOs. The one thing that EvE can compete favorably with.

No…all it actually does is create a new imbalance. If free Alpha accounts cannot gank Omegas, and I don’t mind the argument put forward to support that, then why should Omegas still get a security status loss for ganking free Alphas ?

If you are challenging me Luca, I accept! I do not propose that one has an Anti Gank fleet roaming the stars looking to foil gankers, or anything so complicated. Just use common sense and pay attention to one’s surrounding. I know people have quoted (maybe miss quoted) and teased you about have dozens or hundreds of Omega accounts, but if you are comfortable flying 20 catalyst accounts or half a dozen tornados, or what ever, I would be more than willing to but my mackinaw, mastodon, or fenrir where my mouth is. Would you care to see if you can gank me this weekend?
As I have tried to demonstrate with applying simple strategies, ganks can be avoided. The thing is miners and haulers need to take the initiative and defend themselves before the attack has happened. If you stand still and allow someone to get a headlock on you, you will be waking up on the mat.
I don’t have any secret kenpo I just know enough to not stand still and allow the gank to get me. 90% of the time that is really all it takes.
If anyone wants me to outline the basic tactics and how to apply them, (as I have multiple times), I will start a new thread with a serious discussion on how to avoid ganks from the perspective of a “care bear”.
I understand that you are not a seasoned ganker. Contrary to your implications I have never ganked anyone either. If you want to enlist seasoned gankers to hunt me, I accept the challenge. This will be great fun! Let us do it this weekend, or do you want more time to prepare?
