there is a codified Code , its all over the internet , if you cared about the noobs you would link the Code to them and explain it
also the best way for someone to understand something is to do it, encourage the noobs to create a gank alt and get ganking and i guarantee they will learn so much about eve in a short amount of time. Whether learning about ganking or how to avoid or survive a gank its all good , James will be proud.
Your understanding is incorrect, that was in fact the reason why the previous player pushing it was ignored, but then the CEO of the lead Goon ganking corp took it on after AG started blowing up wrecks and it suddenly happened. Of course you lot want to continue to say you never get buffs and only nerfs and that CCP is against your emergent play, but that is a simple lie. Fozzie realised he had been had and gave freighters a slight EHP buff and you lot cried about that, while rubbing your hand in glee at what was given to you.
Funny I have to say.
Still in the end bumping got changed to something acceptable, and that was to help new players who got stuck on roids wasnât it? ROFLâŚ
Thatâs an excuse for ganking, not an explanation, its not official and it is therefore not in the right place to ensure that new players get it.
But all that was obvious. Not sure why you even responded to me on that point. It seems like you are attacking everyone cause you feel like you know you are in the wrong.
You could bash your head against that wall all day and most noobs wont do it. Most people are capable of feeling guilt for committing selfish, unwarranted attacks against living and real players (as opposed to NPCs) and they donât like that feelling at all. And that feeling is compounded by the relative weakness and innocence a target would have to be to be gankable to a noob.
So what you would want is NPCs that can be suicide gank targets and a reason to gank them.
Doubling down on dumb eh? Switch from accusations of deleting posts to unjustified flagging? Unlike deleting, that is something you could not even amass evidence and make a case for.
Keep going. Keep making yourself into a bigger joke.
Maybe next you could claim this forum is a super respectful place, and harassment is rare as emeralds or something.
Perma victim strikes again. This is a game, not rl.
Yet more insults. Quite the hypocrite.
The joke is on you.
I never said that. Being a perma victim just means the game and itâs forums are not for you. Posting in the forums is just like undocking in game. You consent to pvp.
Your back by the good graces of the modâs who you bash. Iâm fine with that.
But your complete lack of knowledge of the game and other than wanting to live in a fairytale world is forever entertaining!
Is English your first or second language? I am seriously asking. Its quite obvious I am not claiming you did say that, thus I said ânext you couldâ NOT anything like âbefore you haveâ.
So which is it? First or second?
This is a game we play IN real life. And what separates this from Space Invaders is that some of the ships are not just NPCs, but real living players in RL.
You can discount the facts as much as you like and get the obviously wrong answers as much as you like. But its not doing your reputation any favors at all.
Even noobs know they are ruining someoneâs fun when they suicide gank a totally innocent playerâs miner or hauler out of the blue. Most donât want the guilt they know they will suffer after. Its pretty easy to understand that.
Thank you for that valuable and insightful bit of wisdom. I look forward to hearing more of that sage knowledge that youâll doubtlessly impart upon us with your timeless dignity and grace.
Although that gives me an idea. If this is the issue, then we can put this timeless carebear/griefer battle to rest by encapsulating EVE within its own digital experience. EVE will now be a game about people playing a spaceship game with unrestricted open-world interaction, including piracy and criminality. After all this time, weâve finally found the solution which would result in eliminating so much sadness and struggle from the lives of honest, hardworking gamer laborers everywhere.
Yeah, thatâs another point you donât get. People really did put a lot of real time and labor into getting their ships. They donât just respawn, save for pods and corvettes.
But rather than being snarky and contrarian without making any sort of objective point, could you just tell us if you think noobs could generally be enouraged to suicide gank in hi sec if enough effort were made to get them to?
And now they wonât have to! EVE Online (Online) will be a game about players engaging in a realistic economy in order to build up their wealth and stature as law-abiding citizens. The money would be spent on upgrading their homes, including their man-caves, where their virtual EVE Online-playing rigs could be found. Players would be able to seamlessly switch (after a reasonable travel sequence consisting of driving a car or taking public transportation) between their virtual mining careers and their virtual virtual mining careers simply by walking into their room, sitting down, and turning on EVE Online on their virtual computers. As their virtual avatars are engaging in the playing of EVE Online, all of the standard EVE rules of player interaction weâre familiar with would apply. Players who are using their characters to play EVE Online would still be able to lose their virtual virtual ships, but it would no longer be an issue for anyone, especially on the grounds of a moral divide, since it would be impossible for anyone to grief another player by destroying their gaming chair without their consent.
You are a genius, dude.
@CCP_Aurora pass the word on to management, weâve finally solved the whole âgankingâ issue in the game! Full credit goes to the venerable Ridley Rohan.
I get the feeling that its not a case that you are incapable of understanding, its the case that you simply donât want to because you want things to be as you want them to be, and refuse to accept reality when its not in your favor.
Please stop trying to pass off the garbage you write as having anything to do with me. I never said or suggested anything remotely like what you spazzed onto the forum there.
yes and thats why we are playing eve and not space invaders
no miner is innocent when they are stealing our ore , should we let them get away with theft ?.
Why would we feel guilt for enforcing the law , we are the good guys after all doing the lords work.
I am not sure you are aware what game you are playing, let me introduce you to EVE online ⌠an internet game based around imaginary space pixel ships shooting other imaginary space pixel ships .Are you able to tell the difference between this and real life ?
Everyone knows they are ruining someones fun when they win any match in any multiplayer game, be it Call of Duty, or World of warcraft, or Dota 2, or EVE online.
Theres nothing wrong with that. Its part of the game.
If a player gets surprised and didnt know that Call Of Duty was a first person shooter, and gets shot in the face and rage quits, Do you really think he wouldve enjoyed the game better if he had never gotten shot in the first place?
This is a recent thing that started happening over the last few years, but Iâve played some shooter/war games where people have gotten really upset after being killed while driving logistics, or being combat medics, etc. As in similar-to-EVE loud complaining about being âgriefedâ and voicing opinions that the game needs to be changed to not allow that to happen, etc.
Can you imagine playing a war game and getting your supply truck blown up with a wire missile and then going on the forums and complaining about griefers not letting you do supply runs?
We all know what the explanation is. Nowhere in eve is safe and when you undock you consent to PVP. You were targetted because you undocked, and you died because you were ill-equipped to handle it.
Are these the same players who refuse to play Call Of Duty because they feel guilty for killing unskilled players on the other side? If I join a Call of Duty match and tell everyone on both sides of the team, âHi, im just here for the graphics, dont shoot me i dont want to shoot or be shot atâ, do you honestly think it would be reasonable for my opponents to say âoh, yeah, Id feel really guilty for commiting a selfish, unwarranted attack against a living and real player, so I just wont shoot himâ?
NPCs can already be suicide ganked. But making a reason to gank them, like a chance to drop really expensive loot, would only lead to further isk sinks and people who dont care about ganking would go and start doing it.
Harassment is against the TOS and is reportable, so yeah, its rare.
As hard to imagine as a player playing a Spaceship shooting game and getting your hauler blown up by a cheap ship and going on the forums and complaining about griefers with non-subbed accounts shooting you and your anti-tanked hauler.
