thanks so much for this, it makes me confident about PVP cause now I know that my ships can actually do something against other players. by the way do u suggest imperial navy multifrequency over Gleam?

Always!

another thing: I also want to give the tormentor a try, but I can’t make a good fit without overloading the Powergrid. can anyone share a good fit with me please? I know the tormentor is most used for scram kite or web kite.

Buy a cheap implant to boost your powergrid.

hehehe… powergrid
I love powergrid. There always seems to be enough of it.
Try chucking T2 webs and tons of damage upgrades on everything you own and voila! CPU is red!
The Tormentor is great as a scram kiter. That is its role. You should try to fit gankier ships as a kinda new-ish player to FW. The fit I fly and recommend is the dual web beam Tormentor, with a DCU, SAAR, and two Heat Sinks in the lows and a T2 rate of fire rig.

Also, FW is a place where you are always best served getting your navigation and engineering skills maxed out ASAP, especially in the current meta of maximum range control. If you don’t, many of the recommended meta ships won’t fit with your skills, or go fast enough to compete with ships that are usually similar in performance.

okay, thanks good to know. since I only trained skills to boost powergrid.

Generally you will never go wrong with:

  • Power Grid Management
  • CPU Management
  • Capacitor Management
  • Capacitor Systems Operation
  • Weapon Upgrades
  • Advanced Weapon Upgrades
  • Controlled Bursts
  • High Speed Maneuvering
  • Propulsion Jamming
  • Repair Systems
  • Thermodynamics

ahhh thanks! luckily I already maxed out most of the capacitor skills I can train. unfortunately I never trained any piloting and tackle skills.

forgot to ask: if I am using this fit or a fit similar to this one, and if I am not scrambled when do I know I need to escape? should I escape when my shield drop(cause shield tank)? or should I escape when armour also gone? or is it too late?

edit: or should I just fight until my ship explodes in pieces and die for the Amarr empire?

btw who is the current emperor/empress of Amarr?

I have no idea about the empress, you filthy Amarr, but I would escape if I were you when your shields drop or when you get webbed.

Empress Catiz I

A brick punisher for heavy tackle. Fit 400mm plates, a scram and click approach. You’ll die, but not before you get the point.

I rate the punisher as the most cost effective heavy tackle frigate. It even has meme fits with oversized props to catch kitey bs (like an orthus).

A swarm of cheap crucifiers to disrupt 400M T2 HACs.

The breacher is capable of solo PvP vs t2 frigs and t1 dessies and t2 dictors.

does this work in defensive plexing as well? I usually does not like attacking other people, but instead getting a upper hand in defending.

edit: like I just warp in a amarr novice and sit there to wait for peopel to warp in and shoot them if they do.

Yes. I will send you a fit.

This frigate would be responsible for tackling hard-hitting targets and holding them in place whilst the rest of the fleet begins to concentrate on the prey.

ohhh thanks so much! I always hoped to find a fit that can be a heavy fighter style ship like the gallente incursus. this fit looks great. however its a bit expensive for me so if I want to use it I need to save up some money. another thing is that I never met anyone who want to fleet up with me or have the time to do so, so I fight solo. I wonder if this fit can work solo in plexs as well? or is it too slow and bulky to control range and tackle at the same time? (people say punisher sucks at solo so I think I will use executioner for now)

The Punisher actually only sees limited usage in this tackle role. It’s normal role is as a heavily tanked combat ship for major fleet battles in the novice plex.

The Amarrian equivalent of the Incursus is actually the Tormentor.

The Tormentor can be operated in two ways. Either you can active tank it with a Small Ancillary Armor Repairer, or you can passive tank it with an armour plate. The first option results in a faster ship. The second option results in a healthier capacitor.

This would be the passive tanked one:

In the past, I have invested a lot of time in helping Amarrian newbros find Amarrian corps that fit them, despite the fact that my main character is in the Minmatar Militia.

I found that every single attempt I made to this end resulted in those Amarrian newbros either falling through the cracks, or ending up in corporations that are disorder, misconduct and ineptitude made manifest.

My best suggestion would be for you to speak to @Aldrith_Shutaq or @Gah_Matar or @Saronu_Yassavi , which are all known personalities within the Amarr Militia. If they can not point out a good corp for you, I will not have more success than them.

thanks so much to everyone who replied to this thread, I learnt a lot from this, and I feel like 1000% more confident about PVP now.

also, worry not, I am currently in EVE university, which I find to be a great corp for me. although they don’t do faction warfare and they do not promote PVP/ganking a lot, their Q&A channel is sooooo useful.
