Synopsis: following a calendar reset after Universal scale cataclysms, society restart and make contact with an unknown Alien race. Through the eyes and actions of some first party members of an expedition, we get to interact with the Aliens…
CHAPTER ONE: First contact.
The year is 2037 FM. After the creation of the first clones new gods emerged from the Dark.
The Eve universe got completely left in shambles when their war ended.
Multiple Suns went Micronova and then the chain started. The new gods arrived.
And nothing was like before. Frequencies Modulation entered all Eve systems and the Eve Universe rearranged itself like a flower when it’s time to spread its seeds. Suddenly the heavenly winds built up, and the seeds developed wings.
2037 years has passed since then. Civilization survived. There were now more connections than ever. The Pirate factions suffered the most. Many went out completely. Systems gone. Bye-bye. Those who survived had learnt some spiritual lesson. There was unity of intents. Small skirmishes but no Faction wars. The law was everywhere for everyone. And it was fast. Strangely enough, facing extinction events, even the worst Pirate enemies deposed their war axe.
A lone Titan from an unknown race jumps into existance from some kind of portal that opened the Eve Universe for the short FM Burst duration event. Probably detached them from their native planetary system and Universe. This lone Titan colonized a small Blue Moon orbiting a young UV-Star-Planet, still emerging from the Gaseous-mutaplasmic cloud that gave birth to it. Were they sent here by the gods to get their righteous place in space. Did they have the keys for getting in or out or just like us, it was the gods churning the sea for its own garden?
It was discovered few days ago.
A Rorqual was visiting these new corridors, which are nothing like Jump portals. They don’t need gates to activate. Everyone can just enter these filaments and will be instantly transported to the other end. A routine scanning operation revealed the massive object orbiting the little Blue Moon and it took a while to identify it as an Alien vessel.
A Titan. Alien vessel. With a new, unknown race, already living probably in all nearby systems. Nobody knows for certain from how much time they have been there.
To the OS EVE Database the entire system is a newborn. But it could have evolved independently for thousands of years before the FM affected them also.
There has been no contact yet. The Rorqual scan fleet returned safely without making much noise. Follow the protocol. Be quiet.
A decision is made to send a small ship to try investigate some of the Moon structures that seem to be more accessible than others. The crew is formed by seven members of the reconnaissance division. Highly specialised individuals each with its own set of skills.
Mission is to try get any kind of informations undetected.
First contact.
/// I hope that a spiritual successor to Alien for PC could take shape in this new, alternate timeline event, happened sometime in a distant future… the game could start from the beginning of chapter two, and develops as some kind of Alien remake, or Expedition22/Alien hybrid. A lot more adventure like than an action game like Dust etc.. and the lore could be integrated in the main Eve timeline given its undefined calendar..?
