Funny you should say that, as a 08 player, I started subbing by the yr, 3 accts in 2012. Only bought plex twice, once sober, the next set drunk. It must have been a deal they put out.

Iāve been playing on 3 accounts for 16 years. I primarily help newbies these days.
I strongly oppose this. Weāve had multiple newbies show up, jump straight into a VERY large ships, lose it immediately because they donāt know how to play, then try to buy more, and quit. Iām sure this makes CCP money on the initial plexing but at the same time, it tanks their opinion of the game.
This is amplified by the expert systems and paid for ships with dollars. Yes, maybe itās pay to win with extra steps, but how soon till you offer AT ships for $1k. And if you want to go down that route, knock yourself out, this wonāt be my game anymore.
This path leads down people not enjoying themselves. As soon as itās fully pay to win, you complete relegate your monthly paid game down to the free to play model that you have to spend money to even play.
Itās bad enough that newbies are tricked into thinking they can easily pay for their account by mining in ventures and such, but to convince them if they spend $25, they can possibly raise enough money to get plex is just insane.

For what ever little my voice may mean in this gaming community, i support the community and our past and present CSM on this topic.
This is a slippery slope that can easily in a blink of an eye turn into a pay to win freemium style gameplay.

A lot of forum/reddit complaints about CCP decisions are weird over-reactions and amount to spewing the first contrary thought that pops into the posterās head.
This post is very much not in that category, and outlines without hyperbole a genuine concern about a slippery slope that has been getting slipperier over time.

Canāt you just buy anything in the game with $$$ by buying PLEX. Same with skills. Why does this crosses the line when PLEX and SP packs exists?

For a variety of reasons. It pegs the in game cost of the item to the real life value. It competes with player made items and undermines the investment made by industry folks to produce these ships. It also allows players to skip basic parts of the game, like learning how to fit ships and reduces the impact of loss because there was no in-game time required to obtain the items.
Plex is different, because the isk generated from selling plex is generated by the players. SP is similar, and we have similar issues with them selling SP directly.
