do you understand that drops and LP are only created if players spend time in game killing NPC’s and earning the LP?
I don’t understand why this is such a leap.
Maybe I’m just triggered by all the phoney ‘this goes against eve’s core principles’ comments. As if they weren’t already compromised years ago.
Yes, and that’s bad. The fact that they have slow-boiled this particular frog does not make it any less egregious. The principles haven’t changed as a result of being incrementally violated over a longer period of time. This is the latest in a string of unacceptable actions, and that makes them even more odious.
The complaints aren’t “phony” just because CCP has continued to press forward in spite of them.
Like this.
CCP were already selling ships for money. They were providing fully fit ships as rewards for events in resource wars. They already compromised the player driven stories with events and then threating to ban players that interfered with events. Apparently they reimburse players ships for making mistakes with their safety setting. And they already compromised the sandbox with instances.
And ‘wars’…well let’s not open that can of worms.
you sir text like an idiot… you still need to get interact with market or be active in game to “get” the materials to make use of that t2 bpo
What are you even talking about?
you are lost now
I assure you they are. CCP were lauded by people in this thread for previous compromises.
People just forget where the compromises started.
Still not making an ounce of sense.
Again T2BPO aside, I was JUST thinking about that parable.
Please just Ignore everyone and lets try to fix what we can now
why this market destabilization by ccp turned into a t2 bpo cancel movement?
because 1 guy cant shut up
If you’re talking about the research lottery prints, those were obtained by players participating in-game to a game mechanic. People had to work for them. CCP decided to introduce invention much later. Present day, a T2 BPO costs several years worth of profits to buy. They’re a terrible investment and the people that buy them are doing it to flex, not to turn dank isk.
Okay, for anyone who might be persuaded by Brewlar’s particular brand of crazy, you should probably know some things about him.
- First, he is so convinced that everyone is botting, RMT’ing, doing insider trading, and other forms of cheating, that he uses that as justification for cheating himself.
-
Second, he’s kind of an idiot. For example, he thinks that market speculation before patches is proof of “insider trading.” However, what he fails to consider is that CCP will frequently give clues as to what they will do in dev blogs, podcast interviews, and so on, and that market speculators will then use their knowledge of game mechanics, the meta, and Eve’s development history in order to try to figure out what CCP is going to do. In other words, whenever he’s not smart enough to figure something out himself, he basically assumes that no one was, and that, therefore, they must have cheated. He also fails to consider that speculators sometimes bet wrong, and doesn’t even consider the market activity indicative of this fact.
-
Third, he’s pro RMT.
- And, judging by his reaction to this, he is, at the very least, indifferent to P2W.
And not for nothing, but a lot of his arguments are absurd if you think about it. For example, his indictment of Brisc for not publicly speaking out against the T20 scandal is not only whataboutism, but also amounts to him indicting a public figure for not publicly speaking out against something before he became a public figure.
@Destiny_Corrupted @Erik_Rebar @Regina_Rockbound
And, I wasn’t going to mention it, but since Cherry Crush is posting here… There is compelling evidence that Brewlar and Cherry are the same person. Regardless, you shouldn’t listen to her either, because she also is kind of an idiot who has openly discussed RMT.
RMT
Thanks for the positive conformation, well sir, they are much the same thing.
You see by CCP providing an item that allows the effortless bypass of an entire section of the game many players will suffer. In the case of $ retrievers those involved in the manufacture of retrievers could potentially suffer & in the case of T2BPO those involved in the field of invention suffer.
Now you see the only difference is who is doing the bypassing in the case of the retriever it’ll potentially be a silent significant number in the case of the T2BPO it’s a vocal one.
I don’t understand what the point you’re trying to make is, though.
People shouldn’t be complaining now because they should have complained earlier?
I’m pretty sure people did complain at every step that CCP took down this path. That their complaints fell on deaf ears in the past doesn’t make those same complaints any less valid now.
Those items existed before invention did… seriously, get over it. T2 BPOs are a trivial and ever-shrinking part of EVE’s economy.
To put it simply, ‘git gud son’. If someone is outcompeting you with some ancient T2 bpo then switch to one of the many T2 items that can only be made with invention. Nobody is guaranteed profits in invention or market trading.
But Liz, how will we derail the thread without bring up other, unrelated issues?
Anyone reading this far is either trolling or taking bait.
Mostly.
The important bits were said right there at the opening IMO.
Dito right back to you with $ store bought ships that are priced above their ISK market value.
