Undoubtedly. I have never made that argument. Hell, I married a Khanid once. It was the greatest mistake of my life, sure, but it should be evidence that I don’t think “there are no good Amarr”. However, if the Amarr in question support the regime that is responsible for more suffering every second than the clown in his entire lifetime, then they certainly do qualify.
I know you prefer to pretend tacit approval of these atrocities is somehow perfectly fine, but you’ll have to forgive people having different viewpoints on that.
I disagree Miz. All suffering is a beautiful thing to witness so in that regard I must say the Amarr are almost as great of artists with the brush as we Sabik are. I’m so happy this is all going to cause more. For isn’t pain the key to enlightment
Hm. I guess I’ve adopted enough of the Amarrian perspective to kind of assume that “being Amarr” and supporting the regime are a little synonymous. Perspectives from outside might vary a little.
Anyway, of course I forgive people with different viewpoints, Miz. I’m not exactly an extremist on … well, most stuff, really. Maybe anything?
I guess I’m a little rigid when it comes to certain aspects of my own conduct, though.
No. I see a person. I don’t believe in ‘good’ people and ‘bad’ people. Just people. And when I look in the mirror, I see a person who tries to be honest about who they are, and who tries to be honest and consistent in the things they claim are ‘acceptable’ or ‘unacceptable’.
So no, I don’t think there are ‘good’ Amarr. Or ‘bad’ Amarr. There are Amarr, and the Amarr power structure is one built upon things I find unacceptable, like slavery. Those Amarr who say ‘yes, I believe slavery is valid and the suffering of others is fine’? They’re at least consistent. No matter how much I may disagree, I respect that honesty and that consistency.
They, at least, aren’t making a big show of decrying the suffering of innocents while ignoring the suffering that makes their own lives comfortable.
That you do whatever make you comfortable? That you’ll react to things being waved in your face, but have no actual ethics to get in the way of living comfortably on the bones of children?
If that’s really the way you feel, Arrendis, I guess there isn’t a lot more to say. I can understand if you feel you have to despise me, but your judgment is your own. I didn’t give my oath blindly or casually, and as my oath demands I’ll prove my sincerity with my life … or the lives of many others. Lives taken, lives saved.
If I am wrong, so be it. Call me what you wish. I have my path, and I’ll follow it to its end.
It’s the behavior you’ve demonstrated. You’ve even said it explicitly to me: you don’t push your employer’s boundaries because it would be inconvenient and it would make things uncomfortable.
If you’ll look back, I kind of expect you’ll find that I didn’t say such a thing without a little nuance.
It’s okay, though. I’m her agent, after all; it’s not really my place to impose my sense of the world on her. If I didn’t trust her judgment above my own to begin with, I never should have sworn my loyalty.
I’m almost offended. The Butcher hasn’t made a temple dedicated to banishing any of my four children, and they are surely all growing up to be proud followers Molok, same as Mitara and I. Hmph.
Let me get this straight. A True Amarr mating with a member of the Krusual Tribe is not creating demonspawn and two people of the Amarr Faith are creating demonspawn?
Tell me again why you are the correct one and the Theology Council isn’t?
Tell me how differing fatihs other then that of the Holy Scriptures are not heresy and that Matari have suddenly been elevated to person status?
Your offspring will be a filthy Minmatar half-breed. But that does not mean that it will be a demonspawn.
Furthermore, Lady Aspenstar’s so-called husband is not a True Amarr. Sure, he was a True Amarr twenty years ago. Now, he is a demon with the outward appearance of a True Amarr.
And thus the truth comes to light. Envy. You are consumed by it. For all your attempts to find a worthy mate you enemy has graced us with their version of perfection into the cluster.
I admit the the child comes from handsome parents worthy of such a match. Perhaps even ordained by Empress herself (Jamyl or Caitiz). Thus the light from the Imperial throne would have been more then enough purity for such a child.
Lunarisse’s husband, is not actually her husband, but some kind of demon impostor, using the appearance of Lunarisse’s husband, to seduce Lunarisse and cause her to bear a child.
So far, so normal.
And this child, by virtue of being the child of a demon, is in fact a servant of Molok, destined to be a demon prince or Princeps Legatus of a demon legion or Legio Daemoniacus.
Thankfully Nauplius is always helpful telling New Eden the ritual he is using and the ingredients there of because. Because I can easily see this opening a portal for such demonspawn as opposed to repelling.
If any of his conclusions had some sort of evidence to support them I would have no problem backing them but alas, the ranting of mad man who thinks he understands the powers he’s dealing with.
