Extraction and processing of radioactive materials for use in industry can be difficult and hazardous work at best, with many standard mining techniques often treating such materials as waste byproducts that are better disposed of in space. Always on the look out for ways to increase the profitability of their mining and materials harvesting operations, ORE has established a specialist Radioactives Reclamation unit, equipped with dedicated harvesting and transport ships, to exploit dangerous and difficult to work radioactive materials.
Radioactives Reclamation Specialists are easily recognised by the vivid “radioactive green” highlighting on the otherwise standard blue and grey of their protective goggles. The goggles are designed to protect the eyes against various forms of radiation but, like the suits the specialists wear, also incorporate a repulsion field shielding the head from any radiation, particles or loose dust given off by the materials the wearer may be handling in the course of their work.

Eyewear seems to be a variants of Genolution Tactical Goggles.
Outers are color variants of Exploration Suits.

This is exactly how they destroy the uniqness and value of items in the game since Incarna/WIS/NEX when they were introduced. Cheaper copies that are very similar all but just in name.

The other version of those goggles never caught my interest, but with that green accent the new ones seem nice.

Now I just need another alt to wear it. :yum:

I think we need better-looking pirate and cowboy gear, from pirate captain hats to eyepatches to gold teeth.

Yes, hats, and pants for ships.

I would like to see a suit with parrot on the shoulder.

Or a fedo.

Just lame rehashes of the same old crap. The goggles are the 5th or 6th version of the Nightstalker goggles and the coat has been rehashed at least 20 times by now.

I created a dedicated alt for apparel stuff and she’s now consuming almost all of my ISK printing like a blackhole … :stuck_out_tongue:

They are. But I don’t much care about the quality of ( possible ) daily login gifts.
It’d be too costly to create unique items for those mass distribution items.

Well, though, they have to release existing major 4 empire variants of the exploration suits first rather than adding new.

Why would “too much effort” be an argument for a company that has to manage a single product and nothing else? It is just plain laziness that they don’t create at least a number of unique clothing items for the 4 factions instead of just changing colors of the ever same suit or coat that they sell for real big bucks. Even for the Resource Wars rewards, they just reused the same clothing items over and over instead of giving the 4 factions distinct and desirable clothing items. It’s just poor quality and attitude. Especially since the universe of EVE offers so much potential for crazy good apparel that you might actually want even though you can only really enjoy it in the 3D preview anyway.

I for one would really like to have the Imperial War Reserves Male Jacket, but since it’s just a different color variation from the other 3 empire factions I do not see myself paying hundreds of millions of ISK to get it, simply because it’s not a unique enough item.

I mean, I am not expecting CCP to pay enough effort to create distinctive unique item for the mass distribution stuff.
I ain’t saying that I’m satisfied with the current situation of their lack of efforts and those crude non-unique items.

If they have an infinite man power or the game had the avatar systems like what CCP described before the release of Dust 514, I would yell them to put more efforts into apparel works.
However yet this is a space ship game and CCP doesn’t have much man power. Hence it can’t be helped that apparel things can’t be a prioritized much unless it has something worth to bring more new players or considerable positive effect for retention of current major players by implementation.
When they deleted the captains quarter, we all acknowledged that the apparels are the forsaken area of this game. We, in fact, got declared that it’s not a primary objective for the company which is creating space ships game, not a space metaverse.

At least CCP though, yet has not completely abandoned apparels at all somewhat it seems for me.
I would like to admit Commanders Dress Jacket Series are the proof that there are some people taking care of them still in the CCP.
Those items have respective unique forms in each empire editions and have features 4 major powers characteristics elaborately.

It’s your decision and reasonable. I do respect it.
I myself don’t think so and paid for them to those who acquired those items from mining corps LP store in game.

Sorry if my English is awful. I’m not good at it.

No, that’s not true. There’s only 2 versions of Goggles currently in the game - Genolution and Nightstalker.

Unless you’re counting Male & Female as 2 different versions even though they’re exactly the same.

However I do agree that CCP needs to be more creative with designing and releasing new apparel items. Also they should rotate their item inventory in the NES every 3 months or so, allowing players the opportunity to obtain different items.

Nice sneak peek at future release.

More than likely those will be log-in gifts for the winter holiday event.

another recolor. do not at all strive to make new models of clothes, they only know how to repaint :face_with_head_bandage:  :face_vomiting:

I’m no collector of apparel but I do appreciate the large amount of apparel options CCP gave us as I give each of my characters a unique set for their picture.

As one character can only equip so many items, the amount of ISK used for one portrait is limited.

I agree that recolours are lazy, but lazy isn’t necessarily bad. It means CCP can offer more different apparel for the same amount of hours.

As long as they do occasionally introduce new pieces of apparel as well, I wouldn’t say there is something wrong with recolours.

And CCP does occasionally introduce new models: the recent commander dresses have unique models for each faction.

Probably, yeah they would be.
IIRC I think we got exploration suits color variant as holiday gifts every year for last two years or three at least, didn’t we ?

Yeah, pretty sure that’s what we got.

EDIT:

Actually last year we got 4 male and 4 female apparel items to celebrate CCP adding various storms to the game during the Yoiul Festival Event.
