[ARC] Important communication to the people still stranded in Vale

Greetings everyone,

Before I start with the After Action Report (AAR), I would like to express my gratitude, both personally and on behalf of ARC, with regard to:

  • The as of yet unknown party that has removed the Triglavian defences and fleets in the system of Vale. This has made a massive difference to the safety of the humanitarian mission;
  • The many capsuleers who assisted with this humanitarian mission as either a scout or as part of the escort fleet;
  • All of the non-capsuleers who have contributed to the success of this humanitarian mission;
  • The UNF who made the infrastructure of their relief efforts available. It helped with making certain aspects of the humanitarian mission go more smoothly;
  • The pro-triglavian forces who decided to stay away and keep the bloodthirsty elements within their ranks in line;

AAR of the humanitarian mission in Vale
In the hours leading up to the humanitarian mission, a few scouts started to fully map the content of space in Vale. What was noteworthy was the very large presence of Serpentis activity, signs of roque drone activity and the seeming lack of Triglavian forces in space.

After the system of Vale was fully mapped, visual inspections were carried out on the planets, stations, upwell structure and asteroid fields. This confirmed that there was virtually no Triglavian presence in space. As this was in strong opposition of earlier scouting reports, ARC therefore believes that an as of yet unknown party has gone into Vale and removed the strong Triglavian defences and fleets. The current estimates of ARC indicate that this happened within the 24 hours leading up to the humanitarian mission.

At 1815 NEST, scouting elements made their way into Vale and took op positions above the planets and near the stations and the Cat gate. They reported that there was very little capsuleer activity within the system.

At 1830 NEST, the ARC fleet started forming and organising itself in Dodixie with the goal of departing for Cat 1900 NEST.

At exactly 1900 NEST, the ARC fleet undocked and made it’s way to Cat. The Obelisk class freighter “Skittish Jane” was waiting in Cat and was carrying 2.000 shuttles to help pickup refugees and transport them to the “Skittish Jane”.

At around 1910 NEST, the ARC fleet and the “Skittish Jane” linked up at the Vale gate in Cat. The ARC fleet entered Vale, ready to defend the “Skittish Jane” in case it would be attacked. Fortunately, no hostile forces were present and the “Skittish Jane” entered Vale and was escorted to the Vale VI - Moon 2 - Chemal Tech Research Center station. This station was chosen for several reasons:

  • ARC believes that this station offered the best protection for vessels entering and leaving the station;
  • Due to the distance to the Cat gate, this was one of the more pressing location to save refugees;
  • Due to the distance to the Cat gate, vessels near the station would have the biggest window to get to safety in case hostile forces would enter Vale through Cat.

At 1918 NEST, the “Skittish Jane” docked at the Vale VI – Moon 2 – Chemal Tech Research Center station and at 1935 NEST, the first shuttles started to launch and moved to pickup locations on the planets and other station in Vale, the Vale II - Moon 1 - Material Acquisition Mining Outpost.

At 1945 NEST, the “Skittish Jane” started housing the refugees of the Chemal Tech Research Center.

At 2000 NEST, the first shuttles with refugees started to arrive, resulting in a steady stream of refugees that boarded the “Skittish Jane”.

At 2100 NEST, the shuttles reported that they no longer encountered refugees at the pickup locations or in their immediate vicinity. The shuttles were instructed to make a final sweep before returning to the Chemal Tech Research Center. The crew of the shuttles were instructed to leave the shuttles in the station and board the “Skittish Jane”.

The “Skittish Jane” proceeded to undock and was escorted out of Vale and docked safely at the Cat VI - Moon 7 - Federal Intelligence Office Logistic Support station. The rescued refugees have been entrusted to the care of the authorities of the Gallente Federation.

Ending note
During this humanitarian mission, there was only one brief moment of conflict. A small group of 4 ships, belonging to the Triglavian collective, warped in on the escort fleet and opened fire. As the Triglavian ships fired first and were a threat to the safety of the shuttles, the escort fleet engaged and destroyed the 4 ships.

Overall, the humanitarian mission is considered a success, even though we will not have been able to evacuate everyone that would want to leave. Current estimates put the number of refugees from the planets in the hundreds and those from the stations in the thousands.
ARC will leave further reports on the refugees (such as exact numbers, if they have undergone bioadaptation or not, overall health, etc.) to the authorities.

ARC has learned a great deal and has begun to prepare for further missions into other Final Liminality systems. More details will follow in a separate post.
