I would like to summarize the responses to the proposed research projects so far and give an outline for further steps:
A) Porevitium Transmuter and sun harvesting: Status: running; lead: @Umbre_Fallenstar; requested researchers: @Komi_Valentine, @Lilly_Terranova, @Ilm_Gaterau; needs further contributors.
B) Transmuter Beam Analysis (sub-project to A?): Status: running; lead: @Komi_Valentine; needs further contributors.
C) Gravity and Gate/Wormhole Manipulation: Status: early concept; lead: @Umbre_Fallenstar; requested researchers: @Veskin_Sentinel, @Sinikka_Hakatain
D) Conflict Overview and Battlefield Assessment: Status: running; lead: Haria Haritimado; requested contributors: @Lilly_Terranova, @Diana_Beesley
E) Predicition of invasion dynamics and triage: Status: evaluating ; lead: ARC; needs further contributors.
F) Invasion pattern prediction: Status: running; lead: ARC.
G) The Raravoss Case : Local Analysis: Status: running; lead: Haria Haritimado.
The next step would be for the project leads to establish communication and get things rolling with collaborating researchers. Of course, the projects are not only open for mentioned pilots above. Those are only the ones who already expressed interest.
This thread here is probably not the best place to continue detailed research discussions. I suggest you open up dedicated threads on IGS where interested contributors or readers can follow your efforts more easily.
For projects A, B, and C we have opened up channels on our usual external ARC communications server (#project-gravity, #project-transmuter,# project-beam). This was requested by Dr. Fallenstar and we see the great potential to keep in touch and discuss further steps there. If this goes well, we might expand on the idea and establish more channels if needed. Thank you, Dr. Fallenstar, for the dedicated initiatve!
How to proceed: depending on the status of your research project I suggest you start with the following questions:
- Define the research goal and scope of the project as clearly as possible.
- Specify the required methods of data gathering and analysis. Since we are capsuleers, prioritize on data we can confirm in space whenever possible. Theorizing is important as well, of course.
- Who will be active contributors? Recruit others as needed.
- Start data gathering and keep up a lively discussion!
Of course, nothing is set in stone. The outline written above is a suggestion. Please don’t feel pushed into anything you don’t really want to do, since we have so many pressing matters at hand that research is certainly not the priority for all of us. I am looking forward to working with you.
