My voting list is here:
This is why we don’t vote. No changes in this game will ever affect us.
You shouldn’t vote until you play the game.
Highsec mining is a tutorial, let us know when you try going further.
I’ve done null sec. I was in a small null sec corp over a decade ago. I hated it. Absolutely hated it. I’ve done abyssal sites, security missions, been in a couple worm holes, done moon mining, planetary industry, and explored almost all of high sec systems. Now? Well, assuming I actually decide to return (still undecided), I’ll just do what I want when I want. I’ve seen most of the content here. It’s not worth doing stuff that stresses you out.
Of course, high sec was a lot more fun then. It’s pretty terrible now.
And here you were trying to bully me and my new player alliance, and it turns out you are an old lazy bittervet who can’t think of anything better to do than harass newblings and lowlevels. Aren’t you ashamed of yourself?
A little bit.
Except it does. The newest expansion is efforts on the part of members of the csm to get some of things into the game that people have wanted. Especially when it comes to mining.
Also:
I am not complaining. Just pointing out that if High sec wants to be taken more seriously and have better representation. Then agreeing to a slate of candidates needs to happen.
That sitting back, complaining, and not voting as some have done here is assuredly not going to change a thing. That is not complaining. It is pointing out a salient fact.
Those new ships affect Alpha and wormhole players more than anything else. None of those changes affect an Omega High Secer like myself. And CSM doesn’t affect change. They help tweak and balance changes CCP implements.
Well, the new unstable ore may affect change… for those fleets with two Orcas. That ore isn’t worth mining at 10% without that deployable. I’m not complaining- I’m simply pointing out that I won’t be chasing it down.
They’re utter rubbish then, mining in the new expansion will be as bad as it was before.
What mining needs is to no longer be doable AFK. Make them actively play the game. This will kill botting, and make the most boring activity in any game I’ve ever played less absolutely horrid.
No one who is seriously mining is doing so AFK. A Hulk gets full in under 5 minutes. If you see a Hulk with its lasers turned on, that miner is not AFK. A Mackinaw fills up a bit more slowly, but it’s still full after maybe 10 minutes. You need to either compress, move the ore to the Orca, or go back to a station to unload. All that requires miners to be at keys.
The only people who can mine AFK are those who sniff gasses in wormholes. It takes forever to fill up the holds and you can do it in an Alpha Venture. Those ships are basically free so after one run, it no longer matters if you get blown up. Just grab another free Venture and get back to work. There have been players come on the forums or Reddit saying that they only sit there for the first run and then it’s AFK for profit. I doubt you’ll get CSM or CCP to tell wormhole gas sniffers that they’re about to get nerfed.
High Sec mining isn’t done AFK. If you see lasers, the pilots are normally watching- especially Hulks.
And if you see a Hulk with an Orca? Damn sure better bet he’s at keys. The yield is way too high to look away even for a moment.
If you want to kill botting, go after the Null Sec people who pilot ISKtars. Null sec is filled with them- but again- that’s not a High Sec issue- it’s a Null Sec issue.
You bullied me too, a groveling appology is in order.

It always comes back that you try to play a game that was designed around and is meant to be a multiplayer game. Just form a mining fleet and have another guy bring a second Orca. Or bring 3 Porps, then mine the new roid with a 100% efficiency. You know… GROUP CONTENT?
If you just want to play alone, why not X4? Doesn’t cost a sub, no evil gankers, no dozens of patches each year that “ruin your gameplay”, stress-free industry buildup all day long if you want.
I love it when people think they can dictate my gameplay! ![]()
That’s not what’s happening. We just think players like you would enjoy Cookie Clicker more.
Nobody is dictating anything. Do as you wish, but if you use a hammer to split wood and then constantly complain how bad it is, don’t be surprised if people recommend to use an axe instead…
I have plenty of cookies though. I hired this awesome chef to serve on my Orca. He makes the best cookies!
I wasnt complaining, skipper ![]()
Excellent
Zaera can supply you with a list of DOs and DON’Ts for the bargain price of 1 billion isk
5 minutes is plenty of time to go AFK.
