Event rewards have literally nothing at all to do with Skill farming.
Price of PLEX equals price of Skillpoints, as long as there is a demand for SP this farming will go no where. If CCP doesn’t like it the ONLY way is to regulate the market aka
- make it bannable to use accounts purely for the purpose of farming SP.
Would make PLEX much cheaper and thus less attractive for the people buying them from CCP so i honestly think you’re just talking nonsense from start to finish that this even is what CCP is aiming at…
I mean it’s really a STUPID fix for something thats a non issue.
Noone asked for worthless daily rewards in the first place.
Event Skins being collectable was THE best thing about them - i bought many of those from players who were kind enough to hold on to them before i ever created my fist account. And from Skins that don’t fit my personal taste i can pay for maybe one PVP ship after holding them for 2 or 3 years? Obliberating the economie… Future players won’t get any of those benefits.

Somewhat naive.
If I have 100 accounts, I get 100 times the event rewards as someone with 1 account.
When those accounts are self supporting (as with skill farming), I can run many accounts, and get many times more the event rewards. Which I could then sell.
Which has happened in the past. And yes, people complained about it.
Yeah the guy with 100 Accounts will log into 100 clients, recieve 100 rewards and sell them in Jita for 10mil a piece - uwuwuwuwuwu
Would drive me NUTS to do this 100 times - and it makes shure that there will still be supply for the guy who starts playing 5 years from now, giving the makret trader something like 250m profit.
I think those people EARNED their money. Just like Skill farming itself is ONLY viable because these people fulfill the DEMAND for SP.
Again if CCP does not like this the ONLY option is to outright ban ‘industrialised’ skill farming.
I don’t have a Skillfarm but i really do not care how rich one nieche player gets from his nieche gameplay - I make billions of ISK on my own because im good at this game.
If you’re so spacepoor that you need to envy other peoples event rewards you’re doing something wrong…
And taking it away from everyone because some people are jealous is ofcourse THE ULTIMATE SOLUTION, right?

Im just interested how it works like this:
Before Skill Injectors, no worries about “Market Fluctuations” from free stuff
After, apparently if I get a Gecko for free this makes Skill Farming better.
You’re purposely evading and avoiding the point he’s making.
No one cares that some player gets a gecko and decides to sell it or keep it for himself. We DO care if someone who has 20 accounts, 18 for skill farming, gets 20 geckos and puts 18 of those on the market.
Don’t try to strawman/nitpick a stance and then make that your defence. You seem to have a habit of doing that, it leads leads to nothing and it’s actually insulting.

Just create a bunch of accounts and make your own Skillfarm you genious? Or do you not want to, because managing this many accounts is a lot of uniquely dull effort, huh?
Why is it that we are supposed to be offended by the skill farmer getting extra junk in rewards - but we aren’t supposed to be offended by the very existence of skill farmers? If you let skill farmers do what they do, then complaining about them getting extra rewards is just stupid. IMHO.

Just remove the failed SP farming mechanic, extractors, and injectors. Then CCP/PA and their mouthpieces won’t have to do mental gymnastics trying to come up with excuses for why they are doing what they’re doing with these bribes.
If you want people to log in, try making the game interesting.

There’s nothing wrong with skill farming. It takes a lot of investment and effort to make it work. Like any other activity, it’s not a free dinner.
Banning skill farming would be ridiculous and a ton of work to try to enforce. Where do you draw the line between someone who is purely skill farming and someone who uses their characters but also just happens to extract all of his skills?
How do you even go about deciding the difference between a player who happens to extract skills regularly and a pure skill farming account? Would be a ton of work. And for what? So a few players won’t get offended that someone else is benefiting from usually worthless or near worthless free gifts on multiple accounts?
They are omega gifts. If you got omega on each account, you get the gifts. None of it is going to ruin your game.
