Oris (Amarr VIII) is the heart of the Empire.
Hence the four Avatar Titans on duty outside the EFA station there.
If you want to see a sight, then go and have a look at the “Empress Catiz I Honour Guard” in Amarr. It was the site of the coronation ceremonies a few years back and is still used for some events.
I really like the work CCP have done on ship design and characteristics - I normally fly Amarrian ships, but trying others the difference in how they feel to fly is significant. And long may those differences remain.
My fav is always gonna be the Stratios. I like the sleek lines and the detail is fun to just look at.
My runner up would be the Talwar strangely enough - it is the opposite of sleek. It reminds me of an early ironclad steam ship.
As a race as a whole, I like Amarrian ships.
I was never a fan of the extreme asymmetry of early Caldari designs.
The asymmetry on some of the Gallante ships works.
I guess I like ships that encapsulate (/snerk) each race’s mythos:
Caldari - Utilitarian and angular, Corporate/Military aesthetics carried over into ship design.
Gallente - designed by a committee, but with a guiding hand. Round but not truly organic.
Amarr - Pretentious totems designed to inspire the faithful and intimidate heathens.
Minmatar - Industrial minimalism, but with a sense of not holding the man down
I know these skins was to raise money for the dude’s family, so it feels wrong to complain, but I was bummed out that these skins all sold out before the US TZ even had time to log on.
