Bittervets vs carebears: Wardec rebalance edition

I’m calling Poe’s Law.

This is the attitude that makes me laugh. Why would anyone even want to defend a Raitaru? It’s defenses are pathetic, it’s extremely cheap to replace, it take about 1 week to knock down and 1 day to put back up under a new alt corp. In my station the builds are kept very short, usually less than 1 day and there are many others in the indy community that feel the same way. They are very replaceable without a sweat to the isk wallet!

You go on trashing high sec players, when the reality is that you don’t understand their mindset. You trash them because they don’t join with others to become f1 monkeys. When in fact if you look at what they do, they are actually free to go where they want, when they want and from being told what to do and how and where to do it. They play the game the way they want to, not how they are told to, like the way most players in null sec are told.

I mostly play in low sec looking for good pvp, but some days I gank, explore, wh dive, drop into null to blap some null bears or some days I just want to chill and be a carebear in high sec. However, there is always a pvp ship within quick reach.

Someone telling someone else they are playing the wrong way is not what EVE is about. A player is free to make whatever choices he/she chooses and just because they don’t play your way does not make it the wrong way.

The bottom line is that tying a war dec system solely to structures is a stupid idea. Hopefully, a war dec system can be found that allows good pvp in high sec. I would prefer to do a rewind back to about 2011-12, but it seems to be tipping the other way. Either side whining about whatever comes down the road, serves neither side well in the future.

indeed, not undocking or even not playing is a simple measure.

You should have read mine.
“cease to exist” is the domain of belief.

In Eve, the death of your clone has the same meaning as the death IRL. The fact that your conscience does not die with your body is something completely different, which is however formulated in several religions.

Scientifically, nobody can define precisely what is life. So nobody can define exactly what is death. The only common definition of death, is when your conscience is not able to move your body. Anything more, is the domain of belief.

The safe haven is singularity train there before you do anything else in my opinion

Inequality is EVE 2018, 1 person has 40+ accounts, another has one. Could you give any possible ideas on how you balance the game and create equality for all with this imbalance?

A SJW?

I thought you were the one ‘demanding’ equality?

Sry but this is ■■■■■■■■…

A PVE player is called PVE player for a reason…he does not want, don’t like or at best does not prefer PVP…

Even if he does PVP in his “spare time” it’s not his “main profession”

So you calling a PVE player CAN DO PVP is just you beeing inside your reality bending PVP bubble because PVP =! PVE.

PVE and PVP are different things and just because you are unwilling to accept that does not make your opinion more real…

A PVP guy should even NOT be able to force a PVE guy into PVP…that’s the whole meaning of this discussion.

Why?

Because again PVE =! PVP

The average PVE guy DON’T WANT to PVP and the game has to give him that opportunity.
And knowing that it’s a joke to call PVE and PVP to be equal because PVP can shoot EVERYWHERE and PVE is not able to avoid it…

Bottom line…

Unless you own a structure, under the upcoming changes to wardecs the only risk of exploding that you will face in hisec is at the hand of suicide gankers and mission invaders; if you explode at their hands it’s almost certain that you did something stupid. If you don’t want to explode, don’t do stupid stuff that others can take advantage of.

That’s 2 choices amongst many, you’re free to do what you want, even if it is to choose the most pisspoor of the options available to you; and we’re free to ridicule you for making shitty choices through laziness and wilful ignorance.

Can I have your stuff?

it’s not my choice, it’s the choice of the players who do not have losses.

I docked in Jita, there was 1900 ppl in the station. 300 in Amarr. HS docked ppl are over 2200, that’s more than 10% of your amount of HS players.

so your

is bullsiht.
Again, you mistake a correlation with a causation.

It’s the complete opposite
1- if there was no concord there would not be suicide ganking (because your ship would not explode by concord fact)
2- if there was no “safe zone” in eve, people would not even give it a try. They would leave after the first ship loss and getting back in a noobship and not being able to do anything, but to be camped at stations. So you can kill people because they had the help of concord in the beginning.

Concord is what provides gankers and suicide gankers their prey. It’s the opposite of a deterent.

I tried the game in 2004 I think, opened a cargo in space, became suspect and died in front of the station I started in. I left.

FTFY

I live in hisec, I have done for 7 years, I undock, I mine, I trade, I murder NPCs by the hundreds.

I have zero losses in those 7 years, I have a few losses on an earlier character that has long since been sold, and I learnt from them.

To learn from your mistakes you have to first admit that you’ve made them, something you and your ilk seem incapable of.

By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest. ~ Confucius

edit - Gotta love the circular logic above. Lesson in social anthropology intensifies

So what ? You don’t even realize what we’re talking about.

I tell you that your claim that HS is “prettty secure by my reckoning” because of concord is completely false, mainly because a lot of ppl remain docked in station. Being docked is effectively the best way to not lose one’s ship, at the price of not playing the game. I tell you that the best of your “simple precaution” to appreciate the game, is to not play the game.

Then you take yourself as a statistical data that makes any sense ? Grow up ffs.

That’s your opinion, everyone has one.

Mine is that hisec is safe enough that only a small number of players are affected by PvP that they don’t want, and an even smaller number are the predators preying on them. And with the upcoming changes, it’s going to be safer still.

Sure staying docked or not playing is an option if your intent is to never lose a ship or play the game as is, and I think that it’s probably the worst one of many; and if you believe it to be the only reasonable option open to you, Eve is not the game for you.

I can certainly see where you’re coming from though, I ran multiple trials because I loved the concept but didn’t understand the reality. In short I used to be you, then I met some folks.

If you want “safety” there are literally thousands of games that cater to you, some of them even have spaceships in them.

Eve is one of the very few games that offers what it does; which is why many of us like it, and you don’t. You don’t even understand it.

Furthermore you have no idea about what actually constitutes PvP in this game, nor what the repercussions of removing it from an area of the game would be.

I don’t know what the repercussions would be either, but my opinion is almost certainly not as ill informed as yours.

FYI I generally use myself as an anecdotal example, not a statistical data point; one point of data by itself being about as useful as a chocolate fireguard.

Correlation is not causation.

Concord is in no way a deterrent to ganking. It is only one of the many variables to be weighed when deciding whether to gank a specific ship or to move on to the next possible target.

Concord also has nothing whatsoever to do with the amount of gankers in the game. The amount of gankers are simply the total players that enjoy that playstyle. It would be the same with or without Concord.

Pretty sure most people don’t even know what the letters SJW stands for. All they know is that it is some kind of insult their retard online “friends” use a lot so it must be cool.

Not at all, but you weren’t around in 2006, let alone in 2003. So please don’t think people are unequal, it’s intellectually dishonest. What if I told you there were NPC corps that could not be wardecced?

No…i don’t deal with it because it will kill a game i like…

The majority of the market gives the player safe zones.people leave eve and your solution is keeping the status as it is?

I mean even the most dogmatic person has to admit that there maybe is something wrong with this. opinion…

And i’m not talking about logic or even buiness knowledge…this is simply about common sense…

Thus the players inside can be mining wardec free.

You are not really complaining that you can’t wardec a solo player?
