Humans will ‘game’ a game more than in RL, because the consequences of beating a drum for their playstyle which seems enhanced by BO are confined to this … optional activity.
Some advocates may only be able to see the easy KM’s in front of them, or the fight they had last session that was not interfered with by a 3rd party, who did have a cyno fitted, but went through a different gate, no clue something was happening. They don’t care about other regions of EVE, left barren, if they found action wherever they are.

If you truly hate the direction that EVE has taken, take a break! Everytime I have had an issue, I took a break, no whining, just called it a day!
What I notice is those that talk about self, not the whole. EVE needs conflict, lots of battles large and small. This wont happen till the shackles on soverignty have been lifted and systems can be taken in hours not days.
Dont see any smaller entities splitting or restarting until there is some certainty returned to the game.
The real question is how many pilots will return after this debacle
eve just needs a delayed local. its halfway blacked out. Halfway perfect intel. literally two different playstyles compromising and meeting in the middle. I would’ve resubbed for just a delayed local (60s - 2min) didn’t need a blackout. I loved and enjoyed the blackout. I will probably stick around for a while post-blackout until i start getting frustrated by everyone docking up instantly. Guess this is just eve. anyone want to buy some covops?
I took a break for 2 years and came back because of blackout.
Now I figure that I might as well play a little but the direction of the game, which is exactly the same as it was before blackout is just not worth paying for, so I am just going to play Alphas.

The real solution will be to let players warp system to system and get rid of gates. The free intel is only made worse by chokepoints.

How is it free? If you have an Omega account, subbed or paid for by PLEX, CCP still received actual money. Someone had to buy that PLEX in the first place. As to upgrading your characters, you have to get skill injectors (that CCP put in the game) that someone also had to spend PLEX on, that was bought with real money.
All of you who argue that plexing an account is “free” does not understand how PLEX works.

Plex is free to the person buying it off the market. This is mostly done by Null sec players.
Cash is paid for Plex by idiots who are having to pay cash to try and equal the massive distortion of the market caused by the Hello Kitty world of Null.
EvE is now Alpha or Null because its not worth cash.
So what? Or rat in it is their off hours, that is what I did in Could Ring years ago. We had a Eruo TZ guy cloaky camping the prime ratting system in Cloud Ring. I was West Coast TZ so I assumed he was sleeping. I’d rat in that system despite his cloaky alts being in system.
