Most of the markets are already nearly empty, so it probably wont affect those that do supply to them (very little competition).
Sellers will adapt, but it is quite a seismic change to Eve - much greater than many may realise (mainly because it’s not the “Eve” they play)
It does open up the ability for CCP to sell more ship and modules from outside the game - the impact of which may be far greater in the longer term (in combination with this and others) - that said, the line was crossed ages ago with injectors anyway, so no one to blame but ourselves
I’m reading a lot of vague things. What exactly is the problem here? Can you give some specific issues instead of the salty “this is going to kill the market completely” type broad statements?
This is exactly their plan, kill mining, industry, and trade as playstyles by driving everyone away from them, in order to later sell ammo, ships and whatever else in the New Eden Store.
I can already hear it:
“As we see there is a severe shortage of ammunition and ships we have heard your pleas and have heavy heartedly decided to offer some goods in the NE Store for you to sale, so that you can continue t play Eve as you like to do”
If your bathroom is flooding with water, you close the faucet. You don’t invest in an extra drain. But CPP doesn’t have the balls to do that. Not everyone is a trillionaire. They are just screwing over the little high-sec guy that already has a hard time doing anything economical with profit because anything he can do, low/null can do at better margins. And for most without the risk that is supposed to justify this extra benefit. If you want a sink : CCP should impose a ‘empire bribe’ on null sec systems that have lots of activity and no station violence. And if you don’t pay, Concord comes by and shoots everything to pieces. After all, which serious empire lets grow an enemy at its gates. Someone has to get payed to look the other way. Now that is a sink. Get the money where it is.
But most players seems to be really masochistic CCP fan boys. Lots of complaining, but no action. CCP only cares about their bottom line. well, hit them where it hurts then. I cancelled my automatic renewal. if needed, I’ll live as an alpha. Still will be a long time before that takes effect. And one player will not make a big difference. But I hope some more will have the same idea.
PS1. This thread has already enough ‘adapt or die’ comments. Doesn’t need more.
PS2. No. I’m not quitting. Just putting everything on a very, very low burner.
You’ve somehow managed to insert yourself into a discussion about the impact that changes will have on the market to propose a shitty and poorly thought out knee jerk idea that wouldn’t work. Congrats.
