I feel pretty discouraged and gutted with the Relist tax.

The point of being a trader in EvE is quick turnover, lower margins and keeping the isk pile moving.

I have to let these changes sink in a bit before making any rash decisions. Do I modify my almost 2000 sell orders on March 9 and leave them sit until they sell? I really don’t know what to do. :frowning:

Sure, but Huren was giving some advice for the Amarr/Jita marketeers to do a bit of hauling and marking up at other places, and I just chimed in with the mission hub method. I never claimed this wasn’t being done (although not enough of it is being done at most hubs)… just letting people who don’t already know to do that… know to do that.

Moar drones for sale at all L4 agents = win for everyone.

I agree, removing Maring is plan S tupid. This is no following real life Stock market. Margin is very well used.

If y’all keep this up I might be forced to re-subscribe my accounts. This is definitely the kind of thing that is needed to help fight bots and make the market a bit more realistic at the same time.

That said, please allow us to choose who we buy from. If I choose an order other than the lowest, let me buy that one instead of the lowest. Maybe I don’t like the guy charging the lowest.

So why haven’t more marketeers done this to combat the bots? Too much work, I’m guessing?

If only CCP would do that. That would actually allow for intelligent pricing choices because I could determine who is a goon and who is my buddy from whom I want to buy in Jita. And then I want to be able to ignore orders from certain people like I am able to ignore contracts already. It would be so great if CCP did that and introduced actual choice and improvement to the market. But alas, as Rise said it changes and development must be easy and lightweight so that CCP at all considers working on this kind of thing.

The difference is that now things over 1b like a-types are not going to be up .01 isking… its going to be 1m isking… cause it will still happen regardless of what this group of non talented individuals at ccp think they are fixing… i love how they go and take a system meant for things that are 99% priced below 4 digits and put it in a game with item prices in the 7-10 digit+

To hell with walmart selling things at 5499.99! IMPOSSIBLE TO POST! U CANT BREAK THE RULES OF THIS MARKETZ! THE SCC WONT LET U LMAO!

For margin trading, why not have orders glow red and display a tooltop when the buyer doesn’t have enough ISK to fulfill it? Makes it significantly harder if not impossible to scam, but margin trading functions as normal.

Just as much as you need to train normal BR, since it also reduces tons of money you spend dealing in the market.

Yes, but also… people CAN put orders at the same price. You don’t have to undercut someone else by 1 mil ISK any more than you HAD to do it by 0.01 ISK.

You can just set yours to the same price as the current lowest. Or you can even set it higher than that.

And either way, just wait. No more waiting every 5 minutes per order to relist, just… set it. And forget it!

Go outside and play (either outside Jita 4-4 or outside… IRL).

As a small industrial player who cannot afford long market exposures, being able to modify the order price cheaply in small increments/decrements is essential gameplay element that allows me to stay competitive. This change will stagnate, if not kill outright, less liquid trade hubs.

Doesn’t work for everyone / everything. i will 1b isk tick anyone into next year if needed be… ill be the lowest and highest, just like it is atm

That’s fine. Then the people poorer than you will just have to wait to sell their stuff at a more reasonable cost once yours is out of the way.

They’ll save money in the meantime, they’ll just have to be more patient and wait.

it will be the exact same thing as it is now… just the entry barrier will be higher on high moving items / isk heavier items… which will hurt the smaller kids, not me.

As a heavy market guy who will lose ISK as a result of these change, I applaud them. Very good choices.

It’s almost like CCP is forcing them out of the markets…

We’ll see. I think it’ll just encourage patience.

If I can beat you with my bidding and market actions then I beat you…this is just another easy button…or ‘patience’ button in your words…
