If you had only been around since the Eve Online first launched. Looking back on Eve Online, is like walking through a swamp with weird birds flying overhead, stubbing your toe on something only to realize that something is very ancient and very valuable.
But what did you find that necessitated spending millions of ISK to excavate the swamp?
Did you find your soul container as you travel the stars of New Edenās quiet and serene space? Did you find new friends? Did you find a new education in manufacturing? Did you fall into a deep sleep and make contact with an Autothysian in your dreams and talk to the living machine? What did your toe stub upon?
I have feet. But I cant go anywhere!

Except for literally everyone who have been requesting this feature for, as of now, two solid decades. Itās not just wanted, itās necessary and, to silence the ābut itās impossibleā crowd, not so much when youāre constantly bragging about military-grade nodes and state-of-the-art networking capabilities.
I can think of a billion reasons how WiS would drastically improve EVE, one being the bounty system in which cowards playing station games would experience a whole new and exciting level of hide & seek. No place is safe in New Eden and walking in stations would punctuate that point for those who depend on docking as a means to evade consequences.
The jury has been in with the verdict on this feature for 20 years. There is no justifiable reason why it hasnāt been implemented, not for a lack of resources and certainly not for a lack of demand. Itās boiled down to pissing in playersā faces at every turn, especially with captains quarters and Dust.
But hey, at least you, unlike CCP, can go all-in for something, even if itās in being completely wrong.

Likely hide in your hangar from hoards of killers looking to settle your bounty. Thatās the point, right? Docking is the only safe action cowards have in New Eden. Without that, I suspect a lot of you would rather biomass than face actual scenarios in which getting caught is completely out of your control.
Carebears donāt want that level of interaction. Itās too direct, too personal. Man, Hulkageddon must have been super rough on you.

CCP, I DEMAND you implement PULSE BAR into JITA.
TBH, CCP could skip all the foofaraw about WiS and all the various things that need doing, and yes, just implement one instance of Pulse Bar into Jita.
Activities there would be:
- Dance for ISK: characters could stand on a dance pedestal, and other characters could select from a menu of dances to make them do, for a price. Highest bidder gets their choice of next dance. Half the ISK goes to the dancer, half goes up in smoke (ISK sink).
- Select music for ISK: players bid ISK to select a music track to play next. All ISK goes up in smoke (ISK sink). Highest bidder get his track. (Rich griefers would just endlessly play āCotton Eye Joeā.)
- Pay for drinks: buy expensive drinks that might give a random booster buff, or make your char inactive for 10 minutes, or force you up onto a dance pedestal.
- Ride the Wild Pod! machine: characters climb on a spinning mini-pod. WASD keys to try to stay on. The faster you get thrown off, the more you pay. Stay on more than 60 seconds to win ā¦ something.
- Throw money at the roulette wheel. Game of pure chance. Small chance of winning Evermarks.
And boom, there you have it: only one location needs to be made, everyone gets to socialize and schmooze, ISK gets sunk like a bad game of Battleship, and all the WiSards get their wish!

A minigame with quick time events just calls out to be developed.
But there was also an exotic dancer there, in the initial pulse bar videos, visible thru the window, I have not seen much clothes on her. So special shows would be happening on the backstage, where only real adults are.
Zydrine wine! Spiced wine! Finally a secondary use for spirits! YES!
Yeah I donāt think so, definitely not the WIS that I envision for Eve.
Seriously, makes me sick seeing those stupid robotic dance moves in those Pulse videosā¦

Most of the WIS haters spend all day every day in a forum blarping at other players while staring at a static page.
Hereās the thing. They could be doing the exact same thing but with a dynamic and interesting station as a background. And yet they would rather quit than do that.
Sometimes you just have to shake your head.

Yeah, the WIS that I envision is something a bit more like DUST 514, just not as much pew pew happening.
Granted it would be cool to have a bar in the station for some black market dealings but that dance crap is definitely a no-go.

I know. But it is almost a guarantee that it would double the player base overnight. And double the players means being able to afford a whole lot more talent to get some of the stuff CCP has been talking about for the last twenty years into the game, finally.

I bet 100 bucks about 12 beers that the devs and pearl abbys watch elite dangerous odyssse and star citizen and if they fare well then this game gets this walking in station.
