He got into an easy to avoid situation and lost in an embarrassing fashion where the baiter got baited in a poetic fashion as well. Not that it matters but hard to argue it was not meme worthy when several dozen people clicked the ā€œmemedā€ feedback on his lossmail. If it bothers you it was meme worthy maybe advise him how to avoid such situations instead of arguing against facts. :stuck_out_tongue:

CCP employees are strongly encouraged to play EVE - there is no better way to understand our product and the needs of our customers than hands on experience. As custodians of the EVE universe there are a few things we need to keep in mind when playing EVE, and also a handful of restrictions - much of it can be summed up with ā€œBe professional and never ever cheat!ā€. This policy details the rules & guidelines we require you to follow.

  1. CCP Dev accounts must not be used for regular gameplay on production servers with the exception of organized CCP events (i.e. Dev fleets / roams).

  2. Never cheat or otherwise misuse your position as a CCP developer.

Yeah I thought about that. If CCP does it then all the others are liable to do it too.
I think Iā€™ll go back to playing single-player games. At least the computer canā€™t cheat unless itā€™s coded into the files and I can at least tweak the files if thereā€™s something I donā€™t like in the game.

For heavens sake, this witch hunt is just ridiculous. What has probably happened is that the GM was RP-ing as a cop due to some event and accidentally ported to an incorrect system.
His ship on 99% being loaded with GM modules, itā€™s highly likely he did not want to drop that stuff into player hands over a misfired GM command, so instead teleported away to avoid a bigger issueā€¦

Seriously the amount of outrage this playerbase is capable of generating will never cease to amaze me. In other games (yes, including sandboxes) GMs are using their commands on a daily basis, sometimes even when players are nearby and no one actually minds.
But in EVE itā€™s apparently somehow a problemā€¦
