I was thinking of just getting frigates and doing fw for isk and pvp experience but im not sure where to start with fittings and if its really worth it and which faction.

all tier 1 frigates, navy frigates , pirate frigates and t1 destroyers are competitive , just get what you like/have more training
I keep hearing abyssal sites, would love to research it and get into the game, also im not terrified of pvp just need some buffer so I can learn. Unfortunately not sure if I can be of any use to a corp as due to health issues my schedule is randomish.
Two other questions, are there any better corps to run for and does it kill my standing to a point where npcs will shoot me in their empire space.
Perfectly understandable. And I’m not saying you are, just that most are.
Abyssal sites are instanced sites with 3 rooms that you must complete before the 20-minute timer expires, or you lose your ship and pod. Take a look at some YouTube videos. If you stack your ship in a certain manner, and run sites with a specific filament effect, you should be able to complete tier 1 sites during your first week.
In a way, yes, which is why I recommend that players use dedicated alts for FW or running high-sec missions.
nowadays the standing loss is very low, avoid poding … choose any corp that have nice people , or just enter in the militia npc corp until you make your mind

Gotcha ile totally look into it, and fw can be completed with alts, thought you would at least want full t2 fits for your frig, or am I totally off.
Yea with corps I was talking about militia npc where is likely where I will stick as a solo act atm.
i do that I’m in 24th crusade for years (the amarr one) , i like the solo thing
anyway the militia chat becomes available and you can talk with other corps in your militia
join fleets etc
Aside from Hull Upgrades 5 for T2 armor tank mods, and your weapon of choice, all other T2 gear can be acquired within a week or two of training. The fits won’t be optimal, but they’ll be workable.

Only thing is that I don’t believe any of these changes actually hurt big nullsec operations, probs just hurt smaller guys like most of the new changes ccp/pa has done recently sadly.
Ive seen a guy up in hs making lots of money with about 8 multiboxed ice barges and a booster, and freighter alt but yea thats some crazy investment none of us will ever see.
Might be safe but im never going to be up to that level, if I was ever going to mine ice when it was actually worth it would have been in one frigate or barge.
So not true as NPC’s don’t mine Ice Belts (edit (YET))

It seems it is indeed true. Perhaps they want to sell “Ore Crates” in their store? It’ll be RNG since it is Pearl Abyss and CCP likes money too. They also may be wanting to force migration to EVE Echoes. Who knows?
