I know youre talking about NPC miners. What im saying is that they dont need the NPC miners in nullsec, because they already have NPC combat ships that spawn, and are very powerful. If we were to have these spawn in hisec, people would be losing ships left and right, every day.
You need to either have a large amount of mining ships, or combat ships in order to remove these NPC ships. Which is no different than forming a fleet to kill NPC miners in hisec, to prevent them from mining the ore belts.
There are no NPC miners in nullsec. Ive never seen them in delve, and im out in the ore belts every week.
So if youre not talking about the players, and there are no new AI NPC miners, then what are you talking about?
Always do. Read, and then comprehend what im saying, before you reply.
Worthless easy to kill NPC, nothing like the new AI NPC miners. And that’s what should change. You should fear for your life in Null sec as well. The random normal AI spawns are a joke.
There are. And that you have not seen them in Delve only proves that they need to be more prevalent in null sec and must show up in anoms more.
I very much doubt that you have never seen them, though, because CFC has destroyed a couple of NPC Sotiyos already, which always come with NPC miners. Right now I see an NPC miner group in NOL-M9.
I have seen and messed with them in Stain though. The defense fleet they bring is a welcome challenge.
The regular NPCs I can just ignore all day in my Endurance.
Battleships and battlecruisers, with a chance of dreadnoughts that spawn? And neut you? With capital neuts? Not to mention the officer battleships?
Ive killed NPC miners before. They are easy. Of course they are, they spawn in hisec belts.
Have you actually tried fighting the two? If you did, you wouldnt have wrote what you did.
So in other words youre saying that theyre so infrequent that ive yet to encounter any of them.
Maybe theres a reason to that?
I have never seen them, despite mining every week, 2-3 times a week for a couple months now. I also only mine in the belts, since the anomalies are always packed with rorqs.
Never see them.
Supposedly, they only spawn in the systems next to specific outposts and stations, atleast in hisec as well. i.e. Astral something corp station will spawn their own npc mining ships in and around the surrounding systems. Which would mean that they dont spawn everywhere in hisec or nullsec.
Normal battleships are easy against the NPC miners. Try it yourself and warp a carrier to their squad. I have fought them and I know that they are nothing like normal rats or even officers. As said, there is a squad in NOL. You should check it out. The dreads are dangerous, yes, but just as rare. I have no issue destroying a dread with a single carrier and rattlesnake, though. Try that on the response fleet for a miner squad.
They spawn everywhere. In deeper null sec it is miners of the local pirates, not the high sec corps.
One way or another: NPC miners need to be way more frequent in mining anomalies and moon belts, so that they can chip away actual ore from the economy from where it matters.
I’d like to hear more about these single multiboxers mining out ice fields in 5 minutes. From my observations it is clear that ice fields last for about 2 hours on average.
Nope, why should it? But the the thread opener is an unhappy highsec miner and I just wanted to give a fair waring that HS production has similar limitation. If you are happy where you are with what you do that’s fine by me.
It seems to me that if mining was truly broken in the way the OP suggests then we would, by now, have noticed a huge spike in the marketplace for everything player made.
If people told me there would be players who are so bad at EVE they think mining in Highsec of all things is too hard, I would not have believed them. At this point I don’t even know if I can send them to Hello Kitty Online because whatever this game does it’s probably harder.
I know theyre easy, i used a cruiser against the ones in hisec, and they died easily. I dont know why people are complaining about how hard they are and how they are a nuisance.
The original discussion stated they only spawn near systems where the mining group has a station in:
You misunderstood. I am not talking about high sec, I talk about null sec NPC mining fleets.
As for nuisance: The mining fleets strip away belts all over the place while in null sec they do not touch the real ore sources.
Well, check your reality then. While strolling around Delve I saw 2 Blood Raider mining fleets on Dscan, which is decidedly close to Blood Raider stations.
I just don’t get it
NPC mining fleets don’t just land on grid and then whole belt goes pop. And once you are friends with them, they even provide remote repairs.
Well I know this is a late reply to the topic but it has been sometime since I need minerals to build, as I had over from 50 million to 400 million units depending on the mineral. However after I used them up and now need more I went to a field to mine and found Joint Harvesting mining the field.
My standing is more than +2 with Joint Harvesting, with my Amarr standing less than -5 after skills.
In the past they ignored me.
However not this time the mining ships warped out and in warped the frigates and destroyers.
Pop went my ship in less time, than I could warp out.
So I docked at a station after buying another ship, got in the new ship and what happened when I undocked.
Yes that’s correct - in warped the frigates and destroyers and pop went the ship (Stupid me)
All this in a High sec Minmatar space, just because the station corp like the mining corp, was a corp that was a member of Amarr.
Now it is going to be impossible for me to gain standing for Amarr being less than -5.
CCP is killing the single player off.
Thank you CPP.
Time to kick out the Amarr stations and corps from Minmatar space.
Minmatar NPC ships should turn up if Amarr NPC ships show up and battle it out.
Defend yourself Minmatar NPC corps and protect your space…… and vice versa.
