CCP plans to remove PvP from HS

I do my PVE in HS, I move billions in and out of Jita. Last time I was ganked was around 2014 or so as I put an alt in a plated, cheap fit, Ishtar on AP to Jita, thinking it would be fine. Before that a gang link Tengu alt in a SS in Dodixie, back when those were still a thing. Simply put: in YEARS of playing I lost exactly 2 ships to ganking and those only happened because I was AFK and/or they were on AP.

HS is safe just fine, IF you’re not a lazy moron. Now, if you’re willing to state that you have issues with your safety in HS then we thus know what that means.

There have always been bots. There are still fleets of bots flying around. More importantly, back then we didnt have alpha. So every account was a paying account. So now we have less characters logging in and of those logging in only a portion actually pay for their account. So yeah, for all its fault, I would in a second go back to classic eve. At least the universe felt alive. Now we got less players playing and and of those actually playing CCP is hell bent on shoving more and more of them into instances making the actually non-instanced eve feel even dead’er.

Dude, seriously, as someone who has lived in HS for ages, I can say HS is probably the safest its ever been.

Its really easy to not die, especially if you avoid living in a Caldari Slum-Region like Lonetrek.

I presume that you looked at zkill because my last loss was in 2014, none of the losses listed are player related btw. Nothing there indicates that I moved to nullsec, it merely indicates I haven’t had any losses since 2014

FYI I didn’t move to nullsec, aside from the occasional day trip to J-space and lowsec I’ve lived in hisec since 2011.

Try harder.

Those who keep saying High Sec space is the safest area in the game are just spouting a bunch of baloney.

In addition to PvP actions such as WarDec’s and Suicide Ganking, there’s also NPC Mining Response Fleets, FOB’s and Triglavians to contend with in High Sec space.

Its always been easy not to die in highsec. The chance of a random non-consensual ganking in HS is extremely small and often easily avoided.

NPC mining fleets and Trigs aren’t restricted to hisec, null players have to deal with them too.

Your “baloney” statement is just your opinion btw.

Sure. But it’s always been easier not to die in null.

So… easy to not die - easier not to die = high sec is more dangerous.

more dangerous ------- less dangerous

LOW SEC > WH > HS > NULL SEC

Yeah right, I’ve never heard of any Triglavians roaming round in Null Sec attacking players…

It’s from a year or so ago but a quick google search revealed that nullsec has suffered at least one trig invasion.

That is of concern. We recently did a short deployment to near Jita to take advantage of ESS PVP but found most of our targets dried up even going 20-30 jumps into NS. Our fleets changed into filiment fleets and were more productive. Between ended up making isk with a combo of exploration, LVL 4 missions and abyssal and occasional deep LS clone hunting (that was also a ghost town). It all brought home the fact that indeed CCP is making it all too easy to make a descent living without ever going far from a trade hub. I cant’ say I like that trend.

we did have free trial accounts though and many folk ran them alongside their main accounts skewing numbers

I have to assume those who claim null is safer than hi, ran for the hills and docked up the minute a non-blue was in local.

like edencom vs trig?

Hang on…

The only difference between PvP during a wardec and PvP in null sec is the 24h warning.
Similar situation with ganking.

And all the NPC content is on steroids in null. And they had some pretty angry drifters.

Which is easily defeated by Capital Ships. Also the Drifter phase only lasted for a couple of months.

Hi-sec NPC’s are easily defeated by battleships…and a couple of months is still more than what hisec got.

You just have a strange way of looking at things.

Can someone, for the heck of it, just start a thread with the title “CCP plans to remove HS from New Eden”. How much does one want to believe nonsense ?
