Insurgencies were one of the best changes ccp has added to the game in over a decade.
They needed a bit more time to be properly integrated but that’s a separate topic.
If you don’t want a system to flip defend it don’t whine about it

Believe it or not, I actually like the insurgencies. A PITA to be certain - but at least the PITA was earned (unlike some activities).
It’s all good - I can give as good as I get.
