CCP Totally Failed it's Hsec players

Do you know what goes on in a boxer’s mind in the middle of the fight? Are you or were you a boxer?

No I’m just a video game griefer.

Don’t assume I’m part of some of those who want to dismantle the PvP in the game. I am all for it.
“Don’t undock what you can’t afford to lose” truly describes EvE and it should mean something. I don’t like CONCORD or anything that gets in the way of the sandbox.

They aren’t ? When did that happen ? I must have missed the trigger warnings being slapped on Monopoly…’ WARNING…this game may cause severe post traumatic stress disorder and is filled with psychoganopaths and other miscreants '.

Err, yes you can.

You just need to look a little deeper rather than just the headline numbers of total ships killed and ISK value.

Look at the number of solo kills. Take a look at their most used ships. If all their kills are in mainline nullsec fleet dps ships and they have few, if any, solo kills, chances are they’re not particularly skilled pilots.

If their top ships include an interceptor and some frigates and they have a decent number of solo kills, chances are they’re a decent pilot.

Look at the numbers of other pilots on their kills. Big numbers mean big fleets. Small numbers mean small gang. I’d be more wary of a pilot who flies a lot of small gang than one who operates primarily in big blob fleets.

Take a look at their losses. Are they primarily fit for small gang/solo or are they mainline fleet doctrine fits?

Now, these aren’t absolute measures, but they do give a solid indication. And there’s always the caveat that day old character may in fact be an alt of some pvp God that’s had 20m SP injected.

Judging pvp skill of those here on forums is a different matter. Many people, myself included, don’t post on our mains. This is my market alt and has no zkill history. My combat main has over 10k kills and about 12% are solo.

That’s clearly not what the person I was talking to was doing though was it?

Not really. I mean…one of the anti-gankers has a lot of ‘solo’ kills, but they are all of ships already being Concorded, or of pods of such. One can get a ‘solo’ kill from just 1% of the total DPS if all the other ships doing the DPS were NPCs.

And its all very well being disparaging of fleets, but one could also notice that some people lose a lot of ships in fleets and some lose hardly any. So there clearly is some skill involved even there.

If you look at some of their kills, you’ll see that information and adjust your assessment accordingly

If we’re talking mainline dps ships, that could be explained as simply as they have a name starting with A.

Or they could be genuinely bad at anchoring or are constantly late broadcasting for reps.

None of this zkill spelunking is a solid measure, but it can give a decent indication. There will always be outliers and odd cases.

They already have that.

your fault ! but yeah … we all had to lean this  and some of us lerned it the hard way like you !

if you pay → then i have to say this and i know it will be flagged → youre not the brightest candle on the cake → NeVeR eVeR pAy AnY rAnSoM ! just lose your ship like a man and lern what your mistake was !

know of any other games that allow a player to do that ? (asking for an interested friend)

Why? It could save your ship.

So what you saying as that men are big babies, that lose their ships due to having temper tantrums?

Why not pay the ransom like an intelligent woman and save your ship?

no ! you pay and you still die !

I’ve always honored all ransoms.

And lets not forget, that you only ask for ransoms in self defense

 You only ask for ransoms in self-defense? That’s an interesting perspective. “Tell you what…I promise only to drain just a SMALL amount of your bodily fluids if you promise not to attack me for doing so.” said the Spiker to the Fly. Is that basically what you are saying? Heheheheh.

Zaera was responding to me. And yes, that is correct; I ransom opponents strictly in self-defense. In fact, I pioneered the “Sleeping Pit Bull” technique in 2009. Being a big fan of Steven Seagal’s work in Hollywood, I was always extremely inspired by his mastery of Aikido, and looked for ways to apply those principles to my career as an EVE Online anti-griefer.

The Sleeping Pit Bull technique centers around the concept of redirecting an enemy pilot’s aggression toward their own ship. My chosen profession is very dangerous, and there are many situations in which I’m caught unaware by the sudden appearance of a dangerous null-sec PvP aggression warrior at a gate where I’m trying to just sit back and relax. When this happens, I perform maneuvers that use the enemy ship’s own momentum against them as they try to close the distance between us, making it impossible for them to control the flow of the engagement by getting back within jump range of the gate. The enemy’s chakra is therefore nullified, and the enemy becomes docile, at which point I’m able to extract a monetary remission in exchange for me being allowed to peacefully leave the engagement with my ship and pod intact.
