Chaos Era Continues - Cyno Update

explain me
how to find a cloaky cover ops ship with proves please
because in 10 years I have never achieved it please

Does CCP have a set date for this release yet? Is it later in September or earlier?

This changes looks like mess not like chaos. Come up with something creative and new instead. Like for example remove the cyno module. And introduce some barrel of chemicals that can be ejected from ship. After ejection the chemical process starts 1min and can be seen by everyone in system. After 1 min the burning of chemicals starts an the cyno is lit for everyone to jump in range.

Well Einstein once said “Genius has its limits, stupidity has no bounds”.

They (CCP) are definitely proving the stupidity part.

That’s the main issue.

The second main issue is that, from what I heard, the covert cyno things for JF was one of the only change everyone agreed on (if you forget the change to normal cyno)

@CCP_Rise So, why not Indus cyno + covert one for JF? What’s the reasoning behind the decision to choose only one?

@CCP_Rise Would it not make sense to also allow Rorquals to jump to industrial cyno? It’s going to be hell with many moonfracks all over a region.

Why not both intensifies

We need an injectors meme for this post to be the way I want it

welp, press F to pay respects for my saved up SP I just burned on two cyno alts to train into covert frigs and covert cyno.

So glad I burnt all that, roughly 1.5m sp total, on your whims and half thought plans, now I can switch to industrials and leave those training plans unfinished.

:goon: here and i agree with you! we have no god damn targets now.

rorqs are a combat ship, so no.

Perhaps CCP would grace us with their presence and comment on the situation of T3Cs doing covert cynos.

Should T3Cs be more of a ‘jack of all trades’ kind of ship, it’s outside the scope of the ship to be the only ship that can escalate to anything it wants, by covertly cynoing in a Force Recon that can use regular cyno. Nothing has changed if you want to drop big ■■■■ on something quietly, because T3C can still do it.

T3Cs are UNIQUE because they can, as the only class in EVE online, be nullified, cloaky and has the ability to escalate from solo ship to covops to titan drop. This needs to be addressed, or any changes you are doing for the sake of cynos in the ‘chaos era’ is moot - same ■■■■ will happen, it just requires a few more ships on the undock.

T3Cs are a scourge and are at the top of the food chain with unique capabilities. Blackout has only cemented their position in blackout and post cyno changes, as the best and most versatile hunter with no other ship class to match what it does.

Suggestion:

  • Force Recon Nullification.
  • No Covops option for T3C

Reason:

  • Force Recon are squishy ships that function about the same as a Blockade Runner. Fast and unseen, but no tank to be proud of. Force Recons are historically unused, so this could cement them in the position of THE cloaky roamer. Their lack of tank would require a good and smart drop, and their built in EWAR options (cough ECM) should give them a little extra time to live.

  • T3Cs are too tanky, powerful and versatile to carry the power of covert cyno with them.

First, we have a game play change which was pretty aggressive - completely changing the abilities of a large player/ship base - which was announced on a formal development thread. A lot of people disagreed with it and a few pounds of salt were shed.

Some people unsubscribed and left the game and other pilots began working towards alternative solutions.

So now you have a group of angry pilots from change one (if they are still around) and now a second set of pilots tired of being yanked around and wasting skills to be trained in other facets of their game play.

Some thoughts:

  • Restrict cynos to specfic hulls
  • Allow a Cyno Field I to be seen on the overview. Remove the ability to warp directly a Cyno Field I. Possibly allow it to be scanned as a cosmic signature. Create some magical under story/lore to support it.
  • Covert’s remain the same.
  • JF’s can use both.

Adding stuff to patch a flaw not the best development practice. Address the issue directly. Let your users know of potential fixes. Stop creating even more technical debt and code lines to manage.

I personally could care less about any of the changes. Make them solid. This back-and-forth could have been better mitigated by your corporate offices. Manage your public relations better and do not disclose items on an official public forum if they are not indeed going to be implemented - or at least preface them with “possible” changes if you want feedback.

As some stated earlier these changes are a complete mess.

how about a poll

option one
era of chaos listens to but hurt elite pvp’ers about losing there easy frags on JF but ignores the players that complain about local

option 2
just method of new owners making people spend £$ on multi character training or injectors to ensure skills are ready for change then make it worthless

sadly i think the latter of late ccp has not listened to its players and is all about the $$
am i wrong-refund for duel character training done to train cyno 5 on alts will be processed when

i mean cyno 5 is still a worthwhile train, just for the fuel cost reduction.

And yes, what about the Rorqual??
