I’ve really enjoyed the changes recently, from cap nerfs to the drifters. Although, this is forcing the game in the opposite direction of what CCP has been working for these last few months. The players that won’t be influenced by this are those that have 15 mining alts under a super umbrella. They will simply reduce to 14 miners with a cyno alt, or (more likely) inject a 16th account to be a cyno alt.
However smaller corporations/alliances are going to go through hell trying to find cynos to save their assets, or even to simply get into combat. As always eve players will adapt, but this post shows CCP is trying to nerf umbrellas but will accomplish the exact opposite.
I remember i posted few years ago that cyno must be avaliable only on force recon ships, hm… Is it real life? ) Respect CCP for having balls. Also i posted about removing null sec local chat… Just wonder if it related somehow to that posts… heh anyway it’s all good)
think ccp just finally woke up, and saw the s.h.i.t what we have seen going on for 3-4 years, isn’t going anywhere, and just killing the game, so they are kicking everyone sandcastle to shake up the game
Last time I checked, CCP was still labeled a game developer.
All I’ve seen lately is:
The release of overly-hyped, Slavic NPCs
Babysitting current mechanics and nerfing them to Oblivion, instead of developing something new
Remember when you used to take risks for the sake of producing the best game in the world? Youre quickly running out of subscribers that remember that fact.
I can’t believe I’m even saying this, but it’s time for a “Jesus feature”.
Cynosural Field Generator I can only be fit by Force Recon Ships and Black Ops Battleships (note: these classes can still fit covert cynos)
Well in this case, WHY THE HELL [Cynosural Field Generator I] is needed?
Just put that into the trash can. what the f***?
I should admit that the current CCP guys are completely nuts ans no-brainers.
Hey, I have a suggestion.
Why don’t you shut down all 0.0 security areas? I think it would be much better to doing shitty matters about ‘balancing’
i want them to die, also, i want it to be super hard for “the army of mango alliance” to be able to screw eve up liek they did on the chinese server, which honestly, you should be thankful this change is being implemented, otherwise, those chinese botters would totally mess up our server too.
covert cynos can be fit to the frigates. derp… regular cynos being fit to the force recons are good ideas because that means they can’t be seen before the cyno is lit. maybe you aren’t thinking properly i dont know, or you think inside the box, however your thinking is, this change is very good for eve, as it eliminates the super cap umbrellas and stops the army of mango alliance from ruining eve like it did on the chinese server, honestly, you should be thankful about this change.
For a long time caps have been on the list for the chopping block seems like now they don’t have to pander to investers anymore… Loving all I have been seeing @CCP_Rise/ team , and @CCP_Hellmar
I think it would be nice if someone who knew the numbers could work out how many carriers, dreads, moms and titans Goons have at the moment and divide it by the number of systems in delve. My heart tells me that number will still be in the high double digits. And for that matter, anyone who’s been around for long enough knows half of those clowns produce so much isk that to assume they actually pay ccp for omega time is laughable, and that goes for most of the large null empires as well. No-one wants to admit it but the core component of this change, a response to how current capital ship design suppresses pvp opportunities in both losec and nullsec, is a more legitimate and pressing concern than how this will change the doctrine regarding capital movement/defensive umbrellas. Every single one of these ships can use gates and to pretend these power blocks can’t mount solid enough perimeter control to enable that movement is also a dirty lie. Even for the nomadic hunters; nothing stops you from wreaking havoc in all of losec with responsible scouting and a well coordinated webbing frigate, especially if the blackout makes that sort of thing too hardcore to do in nullsec. Snuff does it all the time. As for the JF network pilots, there is literally no reason you can’t afford to train your cyno alts to cyno V to make use of a mechanic that is many times more safe and convenient to use if you aren’t a baddie.
tl;dr much like the blackout this is an excellent step in the right direction. The takeaway for the ass-blasted ITT is that the obscenely rich and well connected need to suck it up and adapt, and everyone else needs to either git gud, make some friends or some combination of the two.
Inflation is caused by lack of goods and increasing need of product. Multiple Mining alts provide excess product causing prices to lower, them “same fucks” as you put it have been supplying CCP with monthly income in a far greater scale then a few people commenting on characters that were created in 2019. Without your multiple mining “fucks” the builders left in the game will require goods that are too high risk to gather by folks in a higher scale like the market is used to, this will cause increased pricing like you have not saw. From a “Same ■■■■” to a 1 month old character “Enjoy”
thankful? what are you talking about. thankful? are you kidding me? thankful?
i just hope we can play the game with enjoying.
currently CCP nerfed 0.0 security mining and ratting. what else now, NO ■■■■■■■ SUPER UMBRELLAS?
i have been playing this game for 13 years, 1 3 y e a r s and now i am thinking that CCP is really heavy bonkers.
if they want to make people to enjoy new contents such as Triglavian Invasion then they have to do something better than nerf nulsec area ‘continously’
also, yeah maybe i am thinking with inside of the box but still, if someone want to mining with rorqs or ratting with cap or supercaps then this change is really disaster for them.
If you’ve been playing for 13 years then at least 10 of those years you were playing without a supercap umbrella, like I was. Seemed to work just fine.
