I am convinced that all male staff members at ccp games need to have razors sent to them to shave. every time I see one of these videos they look like reject extra’s from game of thrones.

I still have some of the Christmas “gift ships” like the Primae, Apothesis, Echelon and Leopard, as well as other “useful” gifts like all the Faction ammo we got one year.
I also remember when CCP deleted all our Mine BPOs/BPCs (and any manufactured mines) because there was “too much clutter” messing up the database.
They eventually restored them after a lot of people howled, but then they went and erased all of our Ice/Mineral Compression BPOs/BPCs (for the same reason) and never gave them back (of course they were just as useless as the Mine BPOs/BPCs).
Then they started adding dozens and dozens of totally useless crap items to the database, in the form of Christmas gifts or certain Event items (like CSM 1 Electee Archive Script, YC118 Succession Trial Champion’s Decree (one for each of 6 different “Houses”), YC 114 New Eden Tournament Cards, the 95th Interstellar Mindclash Championship tickets, etc) as well as the other “clutter” like “A Big Red Button”, “Model of a Fighter”, Grand Teijgon Casino chips and so on.
99.9% of all that crap either goes into a can and is never looked at again, or gets trashed.
At least things like shuttles, frigates and ammo actually get used. Some are better than others but all are less likely to end up “cluttering” up the database than those totally useless items like Fedos or “Cerebrum in a Container” or “Magic Crystal Balls” (this is actually the first time I ever even looked at that thing).
Make Eve fun ! Give us a Red and White shuttle that looks like a sleigh and has a non-removable launcher that can only fire snowballs !
Or drones that look like reindeer and shoot fireworks from their horns.
Or the Genolution V (and corresponding Omega) implants ! (How many years has it been now ?)
Or BPCs that require people to do a scavenger hunt to collect the pieces needed to build the aforementioned sleigh/reindeer.
Surely that would be better than another useless item like the “Device” ("This is a thing. It does stuff. ").

As I have explained to the head dev in a different MMO. Holiday gifts are an excuse for players to resub their accounts. You don’t need to give things to free players but you SHOULD be offering gifts to subbed accounts. This is an easy opportunity for the company to make easy money off some pixels they can inject, which also shouldn’t be game breaking. EvE shouldn’t ignore something like this where they can get easy money for little effort, they should embrace it. The event was a great idea for any month, but for December some not total crap holiday gifts are usually what you do.

I do think the fact that CCP effectively gave the players nothing as a Christmas bonus/gift is a bit crap, to say the least.
As it happens, I’ve just paid my 2018 (Omega) yearly game subs, a cost of £89.99.
Given I’ve given them the best part of £100 and this represents actual hard cash in the bank for CCP, it’d be nice if they could find a way to motivate themselves to put in an effort to come up with something slightly better than the (rather pathetic) Yoiul Festival.
Ultimately, I love playing Eve and the lack of a Christmas gift or any effort from CCP will not stop me playing because I enjoy playing and I have friends and a sense of community belonging which is a primary reason for my involvement.
Having said this, the fact that no one from CCP has seemingly felt the need to comment in this thread (despite 3.7K views) means that I now have to conclude that they are now possibly treating the player base like a bit of a cash cow.
If this is true, then that’s rather shoddy behaviour from them and not good for the players or Eve Online itself.

yea considering the hundreds of dollars I spend on eve online across multiple accounts on a yearly basis. I would think ccp would be smart to thank me for remaining as a paying customer… I mean hell I didn’t complain about loss SP due to their mistakes on conversion. I did however complain about their incredible lack of proper customer service and yesterday proves it.
