The real reason they don’t want to do this is that having eyes or a defense fleet lowers the amount of alts you can have actually krabbing (lower isk/hr). They would rather have all alts going full krab undefended maxing isk/hr and cry to CCP to revamp the game than spend effort on defense.

Local is so powerful that you show up BEFORE you even enter system and load grid, and the only things you can do to mitigate this time is to have a good PC and live in London. I live in the UK and regularly buddy up with an austrialian mate to hunt in nullsec, and the difference is night and day.

This would be pointless if they don’t also remove local from docked ships.

Docked ships are what make this whole conversation ■■■■■■■■.

I have no link, didn’t pay much attention to the speculation about the type of anti-afk cloak mechanism CCP is going to introduce one of these days. All I know something is coming.

Let’s just see what they come up with.

I hope it doesn’t interfere much with active cloaked gameplay, yet allows interaction with cloaked pilots that aren’t paying attention.

I’m expecting some form of oneshot deployable pulse that turns off cloaks in a distance. afk cloakers can then be probed down, but attentive players can just restart their cloaks after a delay.

Yes, we understand that you think you should be able to rat in a capital ship completely unabated but unfortunately it trashes the multiplayer ecosystem for everyone else.

Get the ■■■■ outta here, nobody should be ratting in caps in the first place.

If it works at all it is going to bubble wrap null sec players beyond belief and do even more damage to the economy.

Cloaky shiips never were a problem, only null krabs thinking they should krab in peace in one of the most dangerous places by definition.

Yeah, null is not designed for solo playing. Krabbing should be done in fleet.

I’d be aggreeable to this. If…does not trigger/cause delays to recloak.

Pulse breaks the cloak on my support crane when the combat pilot is doing some ninjya pve? I cloak up as fast as I press the button…we good. Or my orca I use like a half assed mobile home on the road. Pulse breaks cloak, orca is cloaked next button press.

Where you get some “afk” ers in low/null. Its those like me, ninjya ratting dual boxed with support. the transport on hot standby to scoop and loot. Cloaked since yeah…its on standy. Not there to wreck your pve. Or gain intel.

We are there to make isk leeching off your indices lol. We have to take gates or a wh entrance. Should have nabbed us at one of these lol.

I’m all for anything that allows counter, but just insta-de-cloaking anything in system would be too much imo. This isn’t about Cloaking as a thing right? It’s about AFK Cloaking.

I’d be in favour of some kind of call/response type of deal, or something that has an active counter measure that can be run (a new active module that you can run when the structure pulses?), but being cloaked is a fairly essential part of wormhole space.

The combat probe can be upgraded to detect a stagnant cloaked ship for a long period of time. Cloakies will be forced to logout and not afk. Also. toon should not appear in local if logged out. This will not affect active cloakies because the probes appears on dscan.

What if someone is aligned? Technically its not stangnant. It moves. How long it have to move in one direction to be considered long time enough and stagnant anyway?

CCP would have to introduce some kind of visible indicator for cloakies that makes it clear when someone is in dangerously low level of cloak holding on. Another timer showing how much space aids someone aquired?

Thats one of the problem. If an idea about cloak nerf is introducef it will affect everybody that uses cloak. A great change just to cater some krabbers request.

Pulses to break cloaks is a terrible idea and hurts other types of game play.

Cloaky campers are not a problem for the regular player, appears to be a gripe for a particular demographic notably the crabbers and bots. Why CCP bends over backwards for this demographic is beyond me :roll_eyes:

I have a question what it is a bug? And if it is bug, then if you use it Intentionally - it’s violation of bug use?

System and in system there is Active Metaliminal Electric Storm - which means, you can not??? Cloack, becuase You should not, but in reality, cloacky camper logs in right after DT and he is In cloack right in system under this same storm, so… bug?
