Conscious Interruption Problem

Worst event ever, cruiser is very hard to hit and drops only boring stuff, launchers and fireworks.
I got like 4 skins and 3 skill accelerators from 100 sites i ran.

I don’t mind the difficulty - but the loot drops suck.

Sleeper Interruptus.

Well, let’s see.

Event Sites have overpowered Boss NPC’s that require a Fleet of skilled players to spend enormous amounts of time to complete.

Loot is low value which is dropped in numerous amounts that will flood the market and devalue them even more.

Players who engage in this event receive negative standings towards an overpowered NPC Faction that freely roams throughout New Eden and due to being governed by the new AI game mechanic, will more than likely openly attack and pod players traveling throughout New Eden.

As a solo player and someone who cares about Faction standings or being KOS by NPC’s in high sec space, this event is not something I’d want to engage in.

In my opinion CCP did a major fumble on the 5 yard line with this event.

For Highsec you dont need a fleet. Friend and i came up with a good combination. The problem is in a site with Gilas and whatnot there is no reason to pull it off because we only help others outdamaging us.

Noticed this as well, they even added a new lower tier accelerator which has only +6. When they said they want to make a group version (im sure i didnt hear that wrong) i expected a version for 2-4 ships to complete with propper loot to support a small fleet, but so far its not worth it, even kills are not shared through the fleet.

Noticed this as well. Killed a Cruiser and got instant -1.2…

It may be overpowered and enormous times in low or null sec. All I know is I see people completing them fairly quickly - when they choose to - in Gilas, Rattlesnakes, VNIs, DNIs, Vigilants, several other ships. However when I check with them every one of those ships (so far) has been a T2 build with significant skills.

So the event is less ‘impossible’ (in high sec), and more ‘a small number of ships and builds set up in one of three styles works, anything else doesn’t’. Very few Alphas will have the ships, skills, and gear combos (T2, faction, Geckos etc) to compete. Although any half decent Alpha should be able to farm frigs all day long.

After a half-dozen sites, I just concluded that the ridiculous grind (400-800-1200 points), the drops, and minimal selection of viable builds mean the event is of little interest to me. It’s working, it’s okay, I could put a ship together for it if I wanted to… but nothing in the event is worth the effort of it (for me). Time is better spent elsewhere.

On the other hand, for the people who do have the T2 fits, the proper skills, the Geckos and faction webs etc… they are reporting site after site after site completed, and chiming in every 10 minutes with ‘ooh look this skin, ooh look accelerator, oh look another skin’. And as DeMichael C. points out, the lower value drops are dropping at such rates that they will soon be trash.

All in all, I can see where CCP thought this was going to be a cool event, but in actual practice it’s a massive clusterf**k. (IMO)

This event is non-interesting, tbh, and very infuriating if you’re not flying a Gila+. Scrams don’t work in killing the cruiser’s MWD. Not sure if this is a bug. Catching the cruiser routinely involves overheating your own MWD, so that means constant docking and repairs after each engagement. That’s not fun.

The drops from low sec are also pitiful. I’d get more ISK from hacking a low sec relic site. That’s how awful it is.

You’re doing it wrong. Several options are available to you. Only the dumb options require repairs.

It’s been quite entertaining watching players trying to kill the Drifter cruiser. The funniest had to be a Rattlesnake trying to hit it with a pair of Berserkers (and nothing else). I found another site where a few frigates had chased the Drifter boss out to 640km trying to damage it.

Whenever players show up to a beacon I’d mesage them to focus on farming, but most would still vainly be trying to dent the boss 30+ minuts later. The most exciting part of the event was the half dozen Catalysts that tried to gank me. Never change Goons, never change…

How can folks be this bad at pve?

Here’s a hint, its called a dual prop set up. In the signature site, get the b’s running from you, mjd in front of him. Turn around, mwd and grapple him.

You really don’t want to know the answer… Right now I’m watching two Gilas and a Demois trying to take out the Drifter cruiser… (70% shields and holding).

Are you guys thinking what i’m thinking? What if this was a big test, and that apate has the same stat’s as future bs’s after using mutated mod’s and CCP wanted to see how our ships now faired up against supe’d up ship’s :stuck_out_tongue:

Some ships are useless in that drifter part of the event, so people have to resort to the part where you get bounties, a lot easier to farm points. You would only make drifter part for loot from cruiser and frigates.

Must be alpha gilas, because I used gila to solo kill the cruiser in conscious interruption.

Has anyone tried using neut’s to break the apate’s tank btw? I have a feeling the thing is not like normal rat’s in mechanic’s either.

It doesnt react to scram, so I think any attempt of treating it like a player ship is futile. Its NPC and its as broken as every one of them.

Have not tried scram on it, that is interesting, scram should work logically

Btw when you guys where shooting the bs where you hitting for full damage? I’m wondering if it’s an application issue or it just has one massive tank. I’m thinking a macherial might be able to solo the site will have to try later on.
