I’d like to see 10 new null-sec regions, 4 new low-sec, 4 new high-sec, and maybe a further expansion of j-space, although I think we had one expansion recently.
May I ask why you want to see the following?
no, most of null sec is empty as is with the large null blocks just holding to keep others from taking it without paying them rent.
No, it is the opposite. We need to shrink K-space and a number of wormhole systems.
Player numbers are getting lower, resources (which directly correlate with number of systems) stays the same or expand over years.
Oh yes, “more” is always the answer… oh wait, no. It’s not. The answer is “better”. How does more space solve anything?
Big ole nope.
Have you flown through null and low? It can be pretty empty.
I would rather see some kind of totally new space… Some new regions, that would be hard to maintain by big blobs, but pretty much maintainable by small ones. Wormhole is a good example. No stable connection means you can be 1 jump away today, but 50 jumps away tomorrow, from the very same system.
So maybe some kind of wondering constellations with, let say triglavian NPC. You have firmly set connections inside the constellation, but constellation itself have random connection to the rest of k-space. Maybe with possibility to claim soverenity under some certain conditions.
new systems would be a novel idea as ccp image of an upgrade is fking skins and more skins oh and lets upgrade graphics so everyone needs a Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 just to load eve
So you want to add more space with fewer people than ever to occupy it?
Interaction is overrated anyway.
+1
the should invent new k-space that prevents capitals from entering and leave pretty much everything else the same.
If they add space it should be some kind of semi-procedural space that you have to scout using a probe that warps at 50AU, so it takes a 1-5 days to reach any given star, with a certain % of failure (modified by skills). Then, the probe creates an Industrial cyno, so you can jump a freighter and build a Stargate. You can then launch more probes to other stars and build more gates. This new space should be inbetween WH and SOV and not allow capitals.
Given that the OP hasn’t commented since making this thread, I’m just gonna assume this was a troll post in the end and that he never intended to flesh out this idea.
No, go away.
For the connoisseur of vast, empty space, may I suggest No Man’s Sky ?
There are roughly 8,000 solar systems in New Eden.
At their highest point in the last month, they had about 26,000 players online. That’s an average of 3.25 players per solar system.
We know that Jita alone usually sits with at least 1,000 players at all times. Which means there are 307 solar systems without anyone in them, b/c they’re in Jita instead. Factor in the other major hubs, and the other hotspots (mission hubs, Alliance HQs, current Incursion / Invasion focus, etc.) and there are a metric assload of empty systems out there.
18 new ones aren’t going to make any difference.
More space would be fine if it had something different to offer than the current space. Otherwise there is no point in adding more of the same.
I really think ppl might be on to something with the new space idea — In my personal opinion a range of regions that are %100 cap free would be very interesting. I’m envisioning an area of space that functions like null minus any cap ship what so ever.
Than feel free to support and develop this idea.
Yes. Should they? No.
We already have a paucity of space and resources in the game that disincentives competition and player interaction. If anything, I’d like to see regions removed at this point .
