Maybe you should get your brain checked at the doctors because I’ve said multiple times I’m trying to sell it and can’t find a buyer and I’m not moving it.
I have. I’m not going to hypernet it, it’s too risky.
Lower the price.
@Aiko_Danuja will buy anything, if the price is right.
Maybe I’m missing something but I don’t think you’re ever going to find a carrier for 600-800 million ISK anytime in the future. Where is this thing that you can’t find a buyer for it and what price are you wanting?
You are getting too caught up in the raw ISK cost. My point is that I’m always going to lose less by selling it and buying a new one, rather than moving it, even if I sell at a pretty large discount.
I don’t think carrier’s should be that difficult to move.
And I think they should.
Capitals are incredibly powerful and their jump drives make them really responsive to anything within jump range. But that responsiveness has a limit: doing multiple jumps takes time, effort and ISK. If it was easier to move around, capital ships would be far more oppressive.
I recently got my first capital and already did a much longer trip than yours. Luckily I could share the cyno beacons with others, so my biggest expense was the fuel itself. (And time!)
I understand it can be expensive if you have to supply all the cynos yourself, although you can cut on the costs using recon ships whenever there is no danger in local. But even if you cut those costs and you still think it is too expensive to move it, just sell it.
And lower your price until someone buys it.
They aren’t. You’re trying to move it across the map by yourself.
This is not regulated by the ISK cost of cyno’s though. There are many ways in which you can balance cyno’s with changing the deployable and cycle time of them, the ISK cost never needed to change. Making them expensive just stops individuals moving them. It doesn’t affect groups.
Well, you shared your beacons so you can split the cost. I have no such luxury.
I can’t predict who’s going to fly in and out of the system. I can’t fly one either.
It’s a problem that doesn’t need to exist.
What’s wrong with this? Is it ruining the game to have that ability?
Well it exists, logistics and distance is a thing in this game. Sometimes it’s cheaper to sell and rebuy at another location than to move the items over.
Now it’s most of the time. That’s boring.
You can’t fly a recon to move your own capital ship? But don’t you have other players to help you light that cyno? Someone in your corp?
I think you have bigger issues as a capital pilot than expensive cyno deployables if you cannot light your own recon cyno and have no one else to light them for you.
You can also use the stargates now. You don’t have to use the jump drive.
I don’t think it’s appropriate to expect someone to waste hours of their spare game time fly 120+ jumps in a recon ship to come and help me move it.
No point even thinking about moving it. It’s not getting moved because there is no point. I think having no point highlights an issue.
I was a capital pilot before the changes when the problem did not exist. The issue I have is that the changes make no sense. All the reasons given for the changes can be fixed without changing the cost of lighting a cyno for individuals to move their stuff from asset safety.
Yeah if you are stupid.
Or cheap.
Yeah sorry I don’t want to suicide a carrier for absolutely no reason.
You seem kinda entitled.
Yea, the highlighted issue is that you are asking too much if you cannot sell the ship. Just sell it already so this discussion is over.
