I noticed that Salvos did not even reply to Mingja asking about ships that cross the system within the 30 seconds, just put it here so it is there for all to see.
So that gives rise to the question will local be reporting ships in local that are no longer in system as they left before the 30 second delay ended. Is this effect intentional or even thought about when certain people pulled 30 seconds from their rear end.
If anything proves that this is an ill thought out idea with no real knowledge and thought about it than this issue is a killer. So we have nullified very fast warping ships which many think are over powered in that sense will run around undetected and able to go through bubbles and he says this:
Which is utterly false and incorrect, laughably so.
I just think this is how it is supposed to be. If I donāt do stupid ā ā ā ā , you should not be able to catch/kill me. You already get your free kills if you manage to catch me.
it needs to be difficult to catch someone because itās easy to kill them if catched.
I donāt see where he asked that, and Ive explained that before, but for the benefit of the doubt, I will answer it here:
If there is a 30s delay on Local intel, a ship that enters and exits the system within 30s, will not show up on Local chat, nor will it receive Local intel on ships in the system.
The delay would also be retro-active, meaning that it also takes that same 30s for a ship that was in the system for 30s, to be removed from the Local list of other players.
So if you log-out or exit system, it takes you 30s to disappear off Local list of anyone that was in system for over 30s so as to detect you on their Local intel list.
Its more difficult for hunters than you think, currently.
Thanks to immediate Local intel, all non-afk/bot/non-idiot PvE players initiate warp to safe when they see you immediately popup on Local intel, with no other effort required.
Its stupidly simple.
See unknown in instant Local?
Initiate warp to safe.
Grats.
Hunter arrives into an empty system with everyone stationed.
Then he has to waste time trying to figure out if you are in station or still in space.
To make matters worse, the incoming ship shows up on immediate Local intel, even before they actually enter the system. They are registered as āthereā for purposes of locals there, before the incoming ships immediate Local intel updates due to session change on their client.
PVE players win the pvp situation if they succesfully escape⦠because odds are stacked against them in a pve fitted ship, so it would be āstupid to stay and fightā as you said
delaying local would nerf pve pilotās ability to escape, even if you cant understand it.
Just necessitates everyone in the system, both intruder and local, to more actively source intel with means available to them, till the delay on Local expires and reveals everyone there, simultaneously.
I am even now active in NS, but not on this character.
I ninja sites in empty systems.
(Immediate Local intel makes it laughably easy)
I have no interest in moving to Player NS to farm PvE content under the current system.
If Local is delayed, I will seriously consider it for hunting purposes, especially to bring Salvos down there to do it with.
This is the only toon i have posted on this forum. The thread will not be closed unless you ask for it and the other bros are here for popcorn too. We laugh alot lol
