im fully expecting dreads in highsec
but for pve only lol
That kinda needs a picture of boob physics standing on the edge with a pearl necklace …
Or 30% mining Rorqual skin for only $30 limited time offer!!!
God no.
I think that there is one variable that Eve has that other games don’t…Eve players. Maybe I’m naive but I think a significant percentage of Eve players are very willing and able to walk away from the game if they feel that it is being compromised. There is a line that should not/must not be crossed and that is the perception of P2W. It is my belief that the Summer of Rage would pale in comparison to the reaction of the players over Pearl Abyss introducing $5.00 25% bonus damage boosters or something similar.
Few more thing. CCP employees will learn that their new employers have much higher expectations and demands. Well, farewell for long summer breaks.
ok, fair enough I see your point.
We are unique. You are correct.
But not before a massive riot that would grab the attention of every media group that cover games and communities
Inb4 someone says ‘THIS HAPPENED DURING THE CSM SUMMIT THE GOONS ARE BEHIND IT’
May I preorder that and can I get a discount on the high volume ???
Others don’t get the same data since it’s user related, not community only data.
2nd:
What about the Twitch stream with CCP?
- Are we going to have PA streams ?
Talking from the perspective of a Euro/US company, the (business) cultural difference to Asian companies is huge. Which for me is the most worrying aspect. Can you, as an Icelandic “anarchist” and individualist with Viking culture, work for a Korean company? EvE is a perfect mirror of that culture. That is it’s success on one hand and failure on attracting the masses. If you want to make it attractive to the masses you need to scrap this culture … will PA resist?
Likely server super cluster details.
why is his head on backwards
Nah.
CCP’s CEO actually called that bluf of quitting several times in EVE’s history. Only once did he miscalculate. And even then the impact was while measurable quite small. It did however come at a time where things were very slim, so it did have disproportionate impact. As such, CCP decided to act on it.
Every action since that time has been focused on preventing pressure from customers, whether it is through CSM, PR angles, and so forth.
You have to keep one thing in mind: EVE’s customers are already drinking the koolaid. They have been since F2P. They have accumulated vested interests. They have been exposed to normalisation.
There also is no more community. The messaging is fractured. There is classic segregation between blocks and types of customers. Every stream is inward bound. Interactions are slim to none. There are no new stories possible, and mythology is nowadays just cheap repetitive marketing.
In terms of customer management the current circumstances are ideal for an announcement like this and the slow start of what eventually will become a structural change in the operational model and foundation principles of the product.
PA is not going to push CCP to introduce the sale of SP for ISK. Not yet. Serenity is the testbed for that first. They are not going to introduce ship replacement or insurance options for real currency. Again, Serenity. They will simply start with introducing modifiers, like abyssmal mods and those chains. They will reinforce skin tech and options. Over a period of 6 to 18 months there will be little experiments, mostly under the hood. And there will be a lot of rubbing off between PA and CCP and expertise getting shuffled around. Meanwhile CCP will still first be busy with some other grand adventures, while PA maps out options for EVE.
As someone who works in RL financial markets, this is the most ludicrous sentence I’ve ever read, I snorted out loud.
I’ll go one better, catch me in jita local and I’ll double your gold hamsters.
Nope, Falcon is small and ugly, we will get some tall blond nodic good-like person to lie us gently
I don’t have any gold hamsters to give so you can double it
So this happened:
