Sorry, but scanning moons a long time ago doesn’t actually give you any experience on how to run a mining empire. You’re just assuming the existence of an infinite amount of organization and manpower, because you’ve progressed past your ability to conceptualize how to actually perform the tasks you’re describing. Thus, you’re just masturbating about something that doesn’t actually exist. Fun, but utterly worthless.
When the moon has been exploded to be harvested will that section of the moon spawn back into the moon ore will it permanently be gone?
Are there going to be moon material debris fields as a result of some of the ore escaping into space that would then need to probed down and could mined?

No, he means all the moons in Delve will ‘randomly’ be terrible.

I agree, I would love to find a Bistot Moon in Low Sec even if its in a FW zone.

It’s not just low sec. Null sec has plenty of small, specialised corporations that are being punished because of this change. Eve is all about the rental empires now.
You’re on crack. As someone who’s done that kind of moon-scanning, you’re looking at at least 2 months for any group to get scans of everything, everywhere.

The last time we had to redo things it took us (which back then was a group of pos monkey admins from pretty much every block at the time accidentally sharing a channel) just over 3 weeks. In a time where things were quite a bit more subject to upheaval, during which there were virtually no big accords or influence agreements. Sure, over time it became clear that in a few minor spots data was a little bit tainted, but that was marginal at best as all the redundancy and sharing for comparisons had filtered out just about most of that.
Maybe two weeks is too tight, but it will really surprise me if this round it will take longer than the last round.
Minor edit. That said, a lot will depend on demographics. Summer is being pretty good to EVE, in spite of it being summer. If Fall is different, I hope not. But who knows, maybe there will be actual spontaneous cataclysmic war that will delay people putting their heads together.

Please can we get something better to do the moon scanning, the warp - align - launch - warp - align - launch is mind numbing.
I’d much rather launch the probe at the planet & get moon scans for everything there even if it takes longer to get the results.

Syphon Units will no longer function after the patch (and will be suitably dealt with at a later date). The new way to steal moon goo will be to get in there and mine it yourself!

from the fanfest presentation the drill will leave a visible crater on the moon that replenishes over time (while the drill makes another crater for the next cycle). So an actively harvested moon will have craters of varying levels of recovery.
But nothing in any of the blogs or presentations suggested that moons would eventually deplete.

Why on earth would I buy a structure, anchor it, fit it, fuel it, defend it, only so I can do mining? DOES NOT COMPUTE. Will it make any sense to have these if you can’t Rorqmine?
