No, it is not a 1 day omega training they sell. There is no omega access, it is a 50k SP skill injector directly from the shop. Why are you not reading the blog. WTFā¦

Now if they start pulling the limit in the future, (& no change to Omegaās training), sure, then Iāll object.
And yes, Iād prefer it if they actually had them training properly, but theyāve said itās a major legacy code issue. In the blog that you are complaining about other people not reading. And this is the work around.

I have never been a fan of the way skill point injection works - I have always felt it allows to much insta-gratefication. I would have rather seen something that pulled SP from a character and then could be used by the same player or different character to speed up the aquirement of SP (at different rates based on current SP amount) up to the pooled amount.
Plus: the excuse of the legacy code making it hard for CCP to do things is a DAMN DEAD HORSE. I am so tired of hearing it- yes it might be true- but I already know I will be wasting my time saying ārewrite the gameā

It seriously does not matter if alphas can train faster or not. Let them train faster with skill injectors.
Alphas should not have to pay more for less sp. They should pay the same for the same sp.
Small skill injectors split in two for micro injectors is a good idea.
Let em use as many as they want on whatever skills they want. $15 a month should get you the ability to fly cool stuff and passive training.
What Iām saying is, the math is faulty.
Youāre paying for (more than) 3 months of subs in plex, for 3 months real time.
And if youāre saying āMore people will do this!!!eleventyone!!!ā these people are, now, entirely capable of just plexing for those three months right now.
(remember, alpha injectors can only be used on alpha characters. at one per day. So those players are giving up the ability to use non-alpha capable things.)

Except the analogy is utterly wrong.
Because Dev business is not retail, itās engineering.
And in the engineering business clients get told all the time āyou canāt do what you want for x reasonā.

Alpha injectors have the same time constraints as PLEX. If you were to unsub and switch to Alpha injectors, youād be paying more for less. 1 month worth of alpha injectors is 600 plex. 1 month of omega is 500 plex. If you think paying more for less is somehow cheating, then I guess Iāve got a bridge I can sell you.
Dust had a good system
You can pay money to use the fancy ships if youāre to impatient to get the skills to use them. Everyone else can play normally and earn their own ships. There was no suit in dust a p2per could use that everyone else couldnāt easily get and gave better skills in. The p2pers were always inferiorly skilled and never stood up to someone else in the comparable suit.

dont account the entire community by those who frequent reddit and the forums, at most about 5-10% of the player base actually does that. Not just in this mmo but all mmoās on the market as has been in the past and will continue to be in the future.
The idea itself of removing the attributes proposed in that reddit link isnt bad especially for the new players however, considering your character was created in 2010 and with how the markets are these days you could of probably purchased him too. I doubt you recall the days of when the +5 implants were 500mil isk each and these days they sit just over 100mil each. I have a problem with the so called removal of implantsā¦ why remove them instead of just changing them to factor in the new proposed method while keeping the implant option?
CCP with regards to this devblog making it another way of grabbing money from the community isnt a good idea. You could possibly change it to be implemented in the game in such a way as the alpha accounts would have to do something daily to get that extra 50k exp, that would probably be better. I know you guys need funding to pay your staff and continue your server rentalās but I dont think this idea will help with that as much as you expect.
You still have to pay for the daily alpha skill injectors THEY ARE NOT FREE. How did you miss this?
So your account has 3 months worth of Omega while paying for 3 month + CHANGE as the daily alpha injectors are currently more expensive then subbing.

They had a blog were they showed that like 5% of the player base use the captains quarters.
PLEX price will definately rise, it will be another pressure point just like removing aurum and selling NES items for PLEX. So CCP wanted that DAI to be afforable and setting the price in PLEX is debatable.
As I read through this, other than most people just missing the math that the DAI is just selling Omega training time without needing a full Omega subscription. The main idea regarding SP injecting / character bazar / etc. that I think I see is something along the lines of:
āAll players should always be on unequal footing based on when they started playing Eve.ā
Of course an older more experienced player will have a meta advantage but whatās wrong with having equal footing in-game?
Itās like āI paid XXX$ over the past 20 years to make this, and thatās good, fair and not pay to win, but if a new player pays the same XXX$ in a month for the same speced toon. OGM! Thatās so broken, itās pay to win, pay to win sucks, OMG!ā
If your position is just that new players should never be able to catch up in-game to the vets, just say it, and stop hiding behind the other things. But, if this is the idea you are supporting it isnāt very good for CCP in terms of bringing in new players.
not true, they reversed RMR characters quickly, you had boost sp training and you started out with almost t2 depending on race/subrace and school you picked.
Thats why I suggest that CCP will sell it for ISK, not PLEX. It does not matter if it will be done via agency LP store or direct infinite sell orders in, let say, Duvolle Laboratories stations (NPC buys blue loot and sell skills, blue prints after all. Why cant they sell injectors?)
Itās almost as if they want PLEX to rise further in price so less people PLEX their accounts and theoretically pay a sub insteadā¦
