yeah it’s not a about making null safer its about forcing the minimum requirement for a cepter fleet to go up by requiring the weaker cepters

It has nothing to do with making null sec safer. This change will have little impact on the safety of null.

The intent is to convince CCP that nullification is the only reason people bother with these ships, and that’s what needs to be reviewed and balanced.

yeah get rid of the cancer that is bubble spam. what’s with all this round about ■■■■ you seem to be in favor of? the majority of the time it doesn’t work with CCP they just break something promise to look into it and if you are lucky 8 years later you may hear that they are thinking about doing something to fix it.

in the mean time we are just left with unfavorable mechanics that if Bob be with you wont effect you at all and at worst wrecks your entire playstyle

This change won’t have an ounce of impact on the safety of null, because folks are going to switch to the nullified fleet interceptors and they’ll still go harassing AFK VNIs in Delve.

If they do, you will lobby to get nullification removed from them too. We know your plan. Also the wording tells me your real affiliation. Harassment is a bannable offense ingame. If your VNI pilots get harassed they should open a support ticket.

That’s the biggest issue. They can pick their fights at will, and there’s very little that is reliably effective at stopping it. That removes the risk, and that’s a bad thing.

You have to decide, is it a big issue or not an ounce of impact? If it’s not an issue for you why bother making it your number one thing to “fix”?

Balance is not a value on it’s own. If the game would be totally balanced all time it would be also totally boring.

The point of getting them to do smaller iterations that can be rolled back if they don’t work is so that we don’t go down the “fix something, break something else, don’t touch it for 8 years” thing.

That’s exactly why we aren’t pushing for massive complete rewrites of balance mechanics. We want them to do that for bigger stuff, like war decs and structures, not for balance stuff.

You are still wrong with this claim. As I said before, in most contexts - small gang, fleet fights against logi, BLOPs - ECM will still be viable and used.

yeah they tried this in the past then gave up on it after only a few months… how about those T3s they said they would touch base on? oh that’s right Loki is still king prot is trash and the tengu doesn’t even have the powergrid to charge a smartphone.

but yeah lets introduce several more things they can focus on tweaking and implement the practice you are talking about

overall though since you personally seem to be getting a lot of hate in this thread while I may disagree with you, you are interacting and defending your stance I barley even know who the rest of the CSM and I would rather have that type on the csm rather than some one I agreed with

It’s not remotely close to the top of my list to fix - that would be war decs. But it’s on the list, and it’s easy to do, so I’m supporting the change.

ECM is now a peace of junk, several month of skilling for nothing.

really would have been nice if there was some give with that take especially since each nerf to ECM is accompanied by an admittance that ECM is bad for both sides. Doesn’t help that this was announced at the same time as the hic changes where despite a stupid simple solution to the negative effects there was no plan to make an attempted until it blew up
