"Hi CCP and fellow EVE players:
I have played EVE Online for a long time (read 10 years), I remember being very exited about Incarna, of which the first step was CQ.
The promise of Incarna held a specific experience, imagine a mission or ops where a wing of pilots had to fight in space whilst a part of the team had to shoot their way inside the enemy base to the objective…
Incarna was a big step in the game since it would have brought us fidelity, made our characters real and bring us a RP and in depth look at the long and silent world of being a Capsuleer.
At the same time Incarna released we objected against micro transactions (MT) , which is a full service now (and not as objectionable as I initially thought), - but if memory serves due to the march against MT, Incarna was cancelled too.I thought it a brilliant strategy on CCP’s side to manipulate our needs, but that is old news now.
We loved the game so much we let that slide. CQ remained and it would have been revisited at a later time to be a full mechanic in our game-play, open a new world and potentially tie in to Dust in some way.
(OMG forgot the epic failure of DUST 514 there for a second, lol - if it had only been on PC I would have subbed it - ok, anyway moving along)
Ok, so this is my take:
3% doesn’t matter, really ok then, point taken -(I guess my small contribution to the game will go unnoticed then) - No expansion or additions will of course result in a death of feature, it was suppose to function but didn’t.
We bought millions in apparel with no real value, the reason I bought it was there was a promise made that it will be applicable, I mean CQ was there!?. Ok so I think its time to move to games that offer real better services and deliver on promises, even if I love the EVE universe, IT IS CLEAR THE FEATURES THAT WAS PROMISED WILL NOT HAPPEN.
EVE ONLINE could have been a full 3rd-person fidelity experience, since the space part is awesome tbh, but I guess that is over now. maybe someone out there will develop a game for us that has the features we wanted…
Anyway in the interim,
I recommend that it is better to move to games such as Star Citizen and Elite Dangerous that will in a short amount of time actually deliver on their product, (albeit it takes a bit of work to develop) but has both the fidelity and quality of gaming one could expect.
Ad Astra
