You forget the part of how thoose books get to 0.0 or WH space or anywhere else other than where they are being seeded.
You dont just buy the book and inject it. They are not seeded in a wormhole. They are not seeded in 0.0. Players work to get them there to make profit on them.
This eliminates all the work that makes you to just do 2 steps which in reality is a lot more.
And assuming CCP leave you more than a 1% margin, players can still make work to get them out there.
And if you are claiming that you should be allowed to make a 10000% profit on skill books, why are you thinking you should be allowed to abuse new players to make a profit?
So⌠Yeah⌠Still not seeing an issue since CCP are leaving room for traders according to the Dev blog.
Well this Dev Blog is definitely one of the worst ones that Iâve read in a long time. WTF is the matter with you guys at CCP, have you completely lost touch with the game?
Nowhere in my life as a member of this community have I seen any complaint threads posted about having to travel a few jumps in order to buy skillbooks. Man, talk about âMaking Mountains Out Of Molehillsâ.
Seems to me in order to justify their jobs, the Devâs keep messing around with content that works just fine instead of actually working on content that needs to be fixed.
Iâd like to see a list of what CCP considers âCore Skillsâ.
Because quite frankly in that Dev Blog they show Battlecruiser skillbook and that my friend is not a core skill. When I think of core skills, I think of skills that are needed to properly fit ships:

Sorry brother but it is Market Manipulation and itâs cutting out player control on the market, just like what the NES / MT crap did when added in 2011.
Having to travel to get a specific skill book is a big part of New Eden life, other than learning the basics of how to access the market, players also learn basic trade skill, such as how to find the best price available. Not to mention they also learn basic navigation by having to set course there and back to their original location.
This game is suppose to be a Sci-Fy Virtual Reality and as in real life, itâs not fun going to the store to buy essential items that you need.
CCP doesnt leave room for the Traders. They might say they do. But you cant beat instant access by anything but zero profit.
Even if a book that costs 1 mill at a trader increases to 1.5m the option to instantly access it instead of buying from a player for 1.2m 10 jumps away is unbeatable.
And making profit in 0.0 on skillbooks is not âAbusing new playersâ as they shouldnt be in 0.0 at all to begin with. And they will be probably in HS 3 jumps from the closest school if not in the system where they are seeded for the minimal price.
No, I donât. Shipping contracts exist. Your j-space corps need to go shopping for other things fairly regularly anyway. If youâre not using your normal supply system, youâre an idiot. If you are, the additional cost of the skill bookâs m3 is pennies.
And the people bringing bulk orders in to sell? They can price lower than the markup. If thatâs not profitable, then theyâve been running a risky business to begin with, because shipping is not that expensive.
Also, you started off complaining about âout of thin airâ. Now that youâve been shown that the system is already âout of thin airâ, youâre complaining about something else. Youâre moving the goal posts.
THEN WHY ARE YOU COMPLAINING ABOUT BEING ABLE TO SHOP ONLINE AND NOT HAVING TO GO TO THE STORE ANYMORE?
Edit: also: holy crap, what the hell is wrong with people today? THERE IS NO âYâ IN âSCIENCE FICTIONâ. Sci-fi. Sci-fy and scyfy are freakinâ ridiculous. If youâre gonna abbreviate, donât be a moron about it.
There is no comparison. When you shop on-line, you have to wait for the items to be shipped which takes anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks whereas you immediately get the items when you actually travel to the store.
EDIT: The only moron here is you, constantly bringing up how itâs more convenient to purchase items from Amazon then to actually leave your basement and go to the corner market.
Seeded on specific stations is not really out of thin air. As they are schools providing books.
Magic that needs you nothing but ISK to have a skill is out of thin air.
Do you think bookstore owners are happy about the fact that you can download books online and just read the pdf?
Do you think retailers are happy about the fact that Ebay sells everything online?
Do you think a music store with hard copies are happy about Itunes?
Do you think stablemasters and grooms were happy about cars? Been to a record store lately?
Your argument has literally fallen to âBUT I DONâT LIKE THINGS CHANGING AND GETTING BETTER!!â
Actually thatâs a ridiculous corruption of the abbreviation because the Syfy channel (originally the Sci-Fi channel) wanted to change their name and trademark it. Congratulations on being sheeple.
Iâm in agreement with the changes in this devblog because actually looking at the pros and cons of the issue have led me to make up my own mind. What particular merits of inserting 'yâs into an abbreviation of 2 words with no 'yâs in them did you see when you carefully examined the issue?
So you are just going to phase out a group of the player base that decided they will deal with Skillbooks.
We are playing a Game set in the future. Its a simulation. It doesnt have to be âReal life likeâ Thats the point of games.
A Business that been overtaken by competiton is not the same as no competition instant magic.
Its still 2 businnes fighting for the market. This change removes any âcompetitionâ between players fro mthe market as there will be no market for it. but instant magic.
