Yeah. Just like they phased out passive moon mining.
EVE’s entire history is one of ‘adapt or die’. Well, now it’s their turn. Adapt or die.

If there’s one thing CCP has done consistently over the last decade, it’s coming up with solutions looking for a problem.
Being able to conveniently plunk down ISK for an instant skill would not be so bad if ISK did not flow out of permanent fountains.
Plus, paying 9m in Delve for Caldari Battlecruiser just doesn’t make sense when you can get it for 1m.
9? Heck, make us pay 90. You pay for convenience. No reason not to pay through the nose.
It could be a valid thing for the mark up to be higher in low/null/wh space perhaps?
That would allow more room for traders in more dangerous areas of space, and make having a helpful alliance a more visible thing as well if they provide skill books at closer to highsec costs.
Would there be serious downsides to doing this?
@CCP_Falcon Have CCP considered different mark ups in different areas of space.
Well, this will make fewer clicks with the mouse, but there goes the learning curve and what happens to faction hidden bonus and not to mention role play.
How exactly does this impact RP?
Id roleplay as a skillbook merchant who travels trough the dangerous areas of space getting knowledge to people in need. A smuggler of books.
You obviously lack imagination.
Well, Cpt, since I never see you anywhere in the RP channels, discord, forum, etc… gonna say you probably aren’t RPing a traveling skillbook peddler.
Besides, it’s better to smuggle walnuts. They’re illegal in Amarr.
Pretend you’re a noob in space wanting to learn what you want to become. others want you to train to become a pvp. when all you want to do in make isk mining. the easy way. and if all basic skill is on the table it could be easy to go with what someone else wants.
there is drama. You know.
Are you suggesting that people’s RP should be limited by… what skill books they can find?
This is only talking about the skill books that are currently available in every school system. How does it impact their choices at all?
You Win Oh! less clicks is better .
He was suggesting its way easier to talk you into getting pvp skills if they are only 1 click away. And you dont need to invest any effort into getting them. Which makes you less aware of what they are about to “force” you into.
thxxx Cap.
EVE is Getting easer.
but id like to learn more about the hidden bonuses.
Which skills are ‘pvp skills’?
Electroing Warfare skills.
Propulsion Jamming skills.
Energy Warfare skills.
Just to list some.
PS: Theese skills are esentially unnecessary for new players to progress. As they will mostly need mining or other PVE skills in order to make money. And they are not going to start with pvp on day one.
See there you go .
now did you have time to skill up to mine .
you did what you wanted. bought and payed for.
Webs & NOS say hi. Both get used for PvE.
There are even certain NPC’s that you need to use points/scrams on as well.
Edit: Cap transfers also say hi.
