Never gonna happen since multiple alts as well as injecting skills mean better revenue for CCP.
CCP wasnāt failing they have always been pretty stable, someone that is struggling doesnt go and take riskās releasing multiple different high risk games like dust and Valkyrie xD
Why does CCP still not nerf AFK VNI ratting instead of screwing capitals all the time. We know this is one of the single worst problems and itās still ignored.
They need to at least remove rock havens or redistribute when npcs spawn so they are spread out like gas havens and cant be done afk
You didnāt noticed the VNI nerf? That drone speed nerf will allow kitey enemies to much more easily kill them as those drones where deadly as all hell moving at those speeds.
An interceptor canāt keep tackle on a ship with drones moving 8k.
Sure if they think they can turn it around or get their investment back + interest before it completely fails.
Do you think PA thinks eve is going to stay around forever?
you say that under a dev blog that included vni nerfs
Iām not sure thatās the problem thatās why
April/May
then they must have an even better view on the long term chances of the game than I do, going to take some time to make back $425 million
Eve alone isnāt going to make $425 back easily, the entire eve universe spread across multiple gameās will thou.
Itās happening right now friend. CCP also knows that revenue goes down the drain if they allow the server to become a copy of Serenity. A dead, stagnant server killed by bad mechanics, bad balance and bots.
People like to forget that EVE is 16 years old, and for the vast majority of that time we didnāt have injectors. Didnāt have people subbing 6+ alts each. Still paid all the bills at CCP and then some.
Congratulations EVE community for 1000 posts in record time!
Seeing all the alts, ānew postersā, and infrequent posters show up means that CCP has accomplished their goal of reigniting passion back into the game. That was one of their goals, right?
To add some detail, in 2016 CCP made $21m in revenue, so its going to take quite a bit of time yeah
Will the remote rep change be exploited by the enemy actually repping the enemy in order to reduce reps therefore killing it quicker?
lol, first off ccp explicitly said that they worked to avoid that in the devblog, in the end even with diminishing returns more reps on target = more health repped, you would just be helping your enemy
yes , I flew the rorqual for boosts long before excavators came into being. we were off grid then too. CCP added excavators not me⦠they turned it into a high priced mining platform and now want to backtrack for the 3rd time. if something takes substantially more training and costs 10 times what a boosting Orca costs, then it stands to reason that it should be more useful in many ways.
I am content to go back to mining support if that is where CCP really wants us to go, but then lets not make 2 excavators the price of mining in the meantime. thatās just silly
Yea, unless your putting 50 large armor reps on a shield fit ship
then maybe it will make a difference.
Weāve been seeing both players and devs acknowledging the need to nerf rorq since they first buffed them with the moon re-vamp. In fact, since they did that, (and Fozzie, at the time, openly said that they knew they were making Rorqs ātoo goodā and would need nerfing) thereās been something like 4 rounds of Rorq nerfs prior to this.
And capitals have badly needed a rebalance basically since the changes that gave us Faxes, HAWs, the night fighter mechanics, etc, theyāve just been struggling with āhowā. And all of the people running capitals in combat have known that, too, including the dialogs with the capitals focus group, over 2 years ago.
Pearl Abyss didnāt do this.
As for PLEX⦠every PLEX used to pay for an account got bought with money by someone, and no-where near all of the PLEX on the market get used. This will not drive PLEX purchases. A significant chunk of the PLEX on the marketāpossible even most of themāare there just to be visible as market orders so people will see that market cit as āactiveā and trade there. Itās really kinda twisted.
Profit, not revenue. They made $86 million in revenue.
you are correct, my bad
