100% correct. Space is supposed to be DARK.
THOSE BRIGHT BALLS OF GAS ARE NOT SUNS!
Theyâre stars. Sheesh!
Itâs a star when itâs outside the solar system youâre currently in. When youâre in the same solar system, itâs a sun, as in getting a Sun Tan⌠but in this case weâre all getting Sun BurnedâŚ
ill just leave this here.
Yeah, thatâs extremely bright, so bright that you canât even see the actual spacescape that other Devâs have created. Totally removes the beauty of Eve space.
Talk about overshadowing somebodyâs elseâs work, canât even see the jump gate graphics.
First world problemsâŚ
Please ignore this threatâŚ
Sun glare is a natural and organic part of being in space, donât like it, turn your camera away from the sun, it is a giant ball of burning gas, why wouldnât it be super bright?
Most humans learn this at young age: if it makes you unable to see anything else STOP LOOKING INTO THE SUN.
Letâs get something straight, you canât control the camera view when jumping, it automatically points you in the direction of the gate for the acceleration-jump sequence, and most of the gates are aligned towards the sun. Also you have no control over camera position when spawning in system from jumping or undocking and just like the jump gate sequence, the game automatically has you facing the sun. Eve use to have beautiful spacescape with excellent graphics, now itâs nothing but a washed out shadow of itâs former self.
You people seriously need to pull your noses out of CCPâs butt and stop making excuses for them. Seems most of you have very low standards and have no clue what high quality work is. Most of you happily accept this low quality service / poor product design and think itâs great. Donât know why youâre so content with having to do extra stuff just to bypass the issue. More importantly, why do you keep posting here saying thereâs no issue and then tell others how to avoid the bright glare. Obviously thereâs an issue or you wouldnât be posting your brown-nose crapass work-around for dealing with this poor programing / sub-par graphics work.
Idiots are just disagreeing to disagree. You dont even have to look at the sun to be blinded. if your camera is anywhere in 180 degrees proximity of the sun you are still blinded. poor design.
I wonder if there are options in the graphics settings and on your monitor and within your operating system which might affect the lighting?
Yes there is, press escape then go into display and graphics, then graphic and contents settings. under the brightness button third down you will see shader quality settings click it to medium and you should be ok. If you want the glare to drastically reduce set it to low and your good to go. o7 sorry it took me a while my auto settings have it all at max.
On a side note we should not have to do this, CCP please look at this function TY in advance. Eve is still a beautiful game.
Sorry but that also affects everything else in the game. Shouldnât have to adjust settings down to lower level all because some incompetent Dev Canât Code Properly.
Your correct we should not, what other option do we have atm?
5 to 10 years ago this type of low quality work wouldnât be accepted by the playerbase. In fact this wouldnât even be an issue if the overzealous Dev who worked on it had actually tested it first and got player feedback before implementing it in-game. Maybe if players voiced their actual disappointment about having to change graphic settings or do extra camera movements in order to play the game, this issue might get fixed. However as long as players continue to mollycoddle CCP and make excuses for their piss-poor programming, this type of low quality graphic changes will continue to be implemented into the game.
Most suffer in silence and will lower the graphics until CCP get round to fixing it probably in another 5-10yr unless the South Koreans start complaining then Pearl Abyss may have a word in CCPâs shell like xd. Either way it smacks of shoddy workmanship.
