That’s what shortsighted companies care about, bottom line.
Altough, most people still have some omega left, plus there is a promotion as we speak, so the damage will probably be felt later on, in a few months or so.
We can expect another artificial increase during and after fanfest, depending on what they’ll announce (probably more promises) it probably wont last tho.
And this also means stagnation, as EvE is now the most expensive MMO to play on a basic level, this means even less new player retention than it used to, which was already quite abysmal seeing as how unfair the game is with newbies with high sec gankers, and scammers, and whales and whatever else.
Let’s be honest here, if you can’t afford $20 for an Omega subscription, there are probably better things you need to be doing with your life than playing online video games. You’ll spend more eating out at a fast food place one time than a subscription costs…
Once again, it’s not about the monetary value by itself. It’s that they ruined the game for 2 years straight then ask more for it. Plus this extra cost will be multiplied by the number of accounts someone has, since most people do have mutiple you are easily looking at a 15-20$ increase per month per person. They are making more than ever with ever more monetization methods, skill points, skins, even freaking ships directly for money, then because they temporarily lose the russian community they want more from everyone?
This is an insult to the community, even if it was 1$ a month it would still be just that.
And before you answer me with the typical ‘ThEn YoU sHoUld sToP pLaYiNg’, well i did, waiting for them to unfuck the industry, but its becoming clear that they wont, they want to sell you everything directly for real money, they WANT to kill the industry so they can sell anything they want for plex or cash.
You pick, either way your presence here in this thread is as your name states.
and nothing you have said is in the best interests of the community, just the company.
see ya,
That’s called difference of opinion. Debates and discussions usually have that. You’re not obliged to agree or disagree with anything I or anybody else says nor are they obliged to say anything that you want to hear.
So how many accounts do you have? 3? Well have you considered playing with 2 or 1? That would help keep your costs down.
The average is 1.7 (2) so you’re above average for multi-accounting.
Ok helmar, I’ll bite. Everyone has concidered reducing their account numbers. Some will do just that, but others will be unable to find their enjoyment with less than what they had before. Those individuals will reduce their subs to 0. See, its sortof, or nearly exactly like another severe nerf to yet another playstyle. One more in a long line, only this time there is a way to unfuck it. MONEY!! Nobody likes that. Nobody. For you to suggest that when its such an obvious point its downright insulting.
I stated it was not possible to create a 0.7 account and the reality was 2. Get it right. I stated it was a computed average on a table, but no reflection in reality as it is not possible to create a fraction of an account. The real value is 2, stop twisting what I said.
Prove me wrong, create a 0.7 fraction of an account. You either have an account or you do not, it is binary, yes or no, 1 or 0.
So 33% price increase. Ok. So what are we getting for this price hike? New content? Ships? New mechanics? I’d love to see some kind of future road map from CCP that would in any way justify this kind of jump in price. I’ve been playing years now only on and off because I felt the development has been very stagnated, mostly targeting changes in null sec.
