I’m not hopeful, todays announcement already made me unsub all my accounts and I doubt this announcement will make me resub. I have a feeling nullsec will get those citadel skins they been asking for and maybe some other cosmetics.
thats pretty much every one, No one cares what they have to say at fanfest anymore because these lazy devs just cry about legacy code anytime an audience member tosses out a semi good idea that they’re have to actually WORK to accomplish. these devs essentially want a free paycheck and for us to STFU with our complaints and pay them
I don’t see how you even thought this would be a good idea. I’ve been unsubscribed and paying with “isk to plex” for a few years, but mine runs out in June. Thought that I might resubscribe if something neat came out from Fanfest, but guess you had to kill that.
No game cost $20/month out there, and you haven’t put out any content in years. Only thing that has happened is killing of content and punishing players by the high cost of actually building and flying spaceships… in a spaceship game. You refuse to listen to your players, and refuse to listen to your CSM. Perhaps the mass unsubscribes when you can’t afford to keep the lights on at CCP will make you realize all the mistakes you have made over the last few years and your refusal to listen to reason.
Finally someone who gets it. I bet I have played for longer than some of the hall monitor fan boy suck ups out there. Its not an emotional one. Emotion would have me hanging in there. Its a practical one. Good riddance they say? Okay smart azz. What happens when a rather large chunk can no longer afford CCP’s salary. The lights go out. Then all your game will be is memories. Maybe good memories, but nothing more.
And I bet most of the accounts that going to get unsubbed first going to be mining and industry accounts. CCP went all in on mining with multiple toons in barges instead of big ships and then went and raised sub costs by huge margin. Eventually it will start affecting economy if mining goes down.
I ran 5 to 7 accounts for PVP and I’m out, I can afford to sub all 7 of my accounts at 20$ I just refuse to because these devs and this game do not deserve 20$ a month. The game quite literally is not worth that.
hearing the CCP Paragon Q&A the whole thing make much more sense and the future didnt look so bad.
CCP, is it so hard to do a full blog about it?
I was 100% against this increase but after im hearing the first 4 minutes of the Q&A my opinion changes and im hopefull for the future
Aaaand I’m done. There is no ■■■■■■■ way this game is worth $30 AUD a month with all the ■■■■ changes and lack of content. That’s double some of your more successful competitors.
Let players truely decide the fate of EVE by selling developemnt credits, depleting voting rights allowing the players paying extra to decide where development time gets spent.
It’s simple, elegant, and allows players with a larger spending capacity to shoulder the burden of decreased income while actually getting something worthwhile in return.
This would allow players to engage in spending warfare for developer time, highest voted gets done first. All people who voted get some sort of fancy monocle and Jita doesn’t have to burn, even though I would pay good real money to have the Triglavians blow up Jita 4-4.
I have 2 accounts, subs go until Oct 2022 & Feb 2023. I am not against a price increase, I have been playing since Nov 2004 and I have had so much fun playing eve, I might rage quit for a few days here and there but I return a few days later.
I will probably buy a few more months at the current price. The new price point is difficult to justify running 2 accounts, I will really have to think about that. If I had the funds 2 accounts would be fine, but with everything else going up, a large price increase is hard to do.
As for content, I always want more, but I enjoy playing what we have. I enjoy EVE, I have loved it since the first day I was mining in Kisogo and doing PVE. (Miss the loot cans around the gates, don’t miss having to train training skills).
The game has changed an absolute ton since I started playimg in 2004. This is a game I enjoy even after all this time, but I will need to see how my finances are to see if I can continue to support EVE at the level I currently do. I’m not a rich guy But i will pay for what I enjoy. Guess I will have to see how this plays out.
For me and like many others are not happy with A 30% price increase considering the current cost of living in the UK at this time. Food/Heat vs Game time, I believe you are going to lose out here.
