? Do You Trust CCP ( Yes/No )? How do you Feel about EVE Customer Service in 2021?

There is no reasoning with trolls…

True enough… but all game makers go through rough patches ( time periods )… It looks like CCP is making a real effort to recover from the 2019-ish stuff. But that’s what I thought last year and there is more negativity in this thread than I expected.

Aside from that… what is your answer… how do you feel about EVE Customer Service in comparison to other game makers.?

True, lots of negativity. So your question boils down to “will ccp make some bad game design decisions in the future” ? Undoubtedly, they’re human just like their customers, as any other game creator. Will they make game breaking decisions ? Judging from the current period, unlikely, the player base is too stubborn to let them kill the game, lol. Whatever the flaws in the concept, workings and interactions of the CSM, to give an example, we do have a direct line of communication inside the CCP offices - which is more than what many other game creators offer their customers.

The few times I contacted customer support their replies were in real time (via the chat function of the account webpage), or within hours via email. In all cases they were highly efficient. Same is true for the support tickets, which always get a response within hours via email. How does that compare to other game makers ? From my experience, with companies like ArenaNet, Daybreak Games, quite similar.

btw, you can create a poll in the post editor, under the cog wheel.

Well then that would be a YES then.

The times I had connected support, I recall the quick replies and appreciate that.

The times I had needed to contact support was regarding my accounts and referral rewards.

Also just checked the last time was 1 year ago

Re-read previous post, thank you.

No

Its balls

Yeah those were fun, I ran a 28-line system back in the 90’s. Denny’s and Tim Horton’s (because Canada, eh?) hosted a lot of late-night get-togethers.

Internet’s an amazing thing but it certainly lacks that feel of “hey wanna get a bunch of people together for football this weekend?” that the BBS’s used to have.

At any rate, if the “how is support?” angle is worried that you might drop significant cash on EVE and then they ban your account, that’s not an area I personally would be worried about. CCP is protective (usually) of its’ paying audience, barring a few glaring errors along the way. People can AFK play, multibox, etc. all day long on paid accounts, no problem.

If you are doing suspicious financial transactions or using a lot of input-macros or something you might get a warning ban, but then you just stop doing those things. If you communicate clearly, Support will work with you to resolve any issues.

You have to modify your post first, then choose “Build Poll” option that is appearing when you click the cogwheel that is above the text you have entered on the left window. But you cant modify it when you finish and post edits.

uh huh…

1985 Eve Server? … Clients were using Commador’s and Amiga’s?

Personally I was on the Tandy 1000.

I felt good enough to put down another $500 last week. That’s on top of the $3k+ I put in this year just to get up to a modestly functional HS setup.

Current thinking is I’ll be putting down about $500/year plus 3 Omega’s. So yes.

YES. CCP have done and continue to do a fantastic job developing this game.

This brought back memories. I ran a BBS. Started at 2400 baud and it was at 19.2k when I took it down - Which was rock’n. Fastest dot matrix printable porn around. Space Traders was my biggest hosted service.

So things don’t change… they just get prettier, faster, more expensive and complex…

Actually not that much more expensive now that I think about it. 'puters were more expensive $2k my first for a dual floppy 256k Ram, CGI graphics, 10Meg HD back then. Not to mention the $500 for 1 modem and I had 3.

sorry/not sorry for going off topic… I’m so delighted when I can actually remember things these days lol.

Yes.

There’s some monetization and marketing things that really made the internet marketing professional in me either scratch my head or go into a closet and just scream. But overall I’m incredibly happy with their response time.

I really dislike the canned mails about the partner program but hey, what can you do?

And I’ve been helping new players get their 1 million sp after they’ve made and invested a bit into their accounts and currently CCP’s response time is between almost instand and 24 hours.

IT'S A YES OR NO QUESTION YOU SCURVY LOT OF TWO-BIT SCRUFFY F$#@@#!$@#

This is a fake question, a vehicle for you to shill CCP.

You obviously know I am not cut off from my assets, you are only asking it in order to deploy CCP shilling against my point. The assets I told you about are destroyed in terms of their market value and their nature as unique. It would be similar to how bitcoin could theoretically be ‘destroyed’ if someone magicked up a million new coins with a code tinker.

You are evading my opinion which was pertinent to the topic.

I gave a foundation for a trust judgment, and I gave a trust judgment. The judgment was that I would not trust CCP management even if I had a gun to my head with anything to do with money or the integrity of in-game assets. The specific example I used was crypto which I am sure they think they are going to get into.

Again you are shilling CCP. Who are you to say that all game makers are guilty of breaking trust in a similar way to how CCP broke trust with its in-game assets? This is ridiculous.

So you are posting evasions, CCP shilling, and fake questions and challenges, obfuscating people’s complaints, from a FAKE account. What a suprise.

Why should we all tell you our true views, when you are asking for them, and defending against them, from behind a fake persona?

Not everything is about you. Not everyone really cares about your tears.

Shocking, I know.
