But you have to care deeply about the game you are playing! Why do you not care as deeply as me? That must mean I am more virtuous than you, by merit of how much more I care!
You say theyâve violated the Laws of Time as you blap them. You can also say you know their future as a Time Lord and that in the future theyâve committed terrible crimes, so you are killing them now to save people in the future.
Okay, letâs see if that terribad take that I already refuted is just due to you responding before having read my post in its entirety or not.
Yup⌠so it was just a random terribad take that Iâve already refuted⌠Damn. Iâm starting to see a clear trend among the butthurts that spend a lot of time trying to shut down people voicing their opinions on the game.
First they are clearly not the sharpest tools in the shed, and second they keep repeating that they donât want to wast their time⌠and yet spend an insane amount of time, MORE TIME than anyone else actually, spamming literally meaningless sh!t on the forum.
Hereâs the bottom line (and Iâll have to repeat myself since reading comprehension doesnât seem to be your strong suite):
The real world isnât a binary one where you have only the choice to quite or bend over
Boycotting doesnât work.
Sharing your feedback (negative or otherwise) on a forum is important to inform the developer and the rest of the community about your feeling on a particular matter.
NOBODY outside of very low intelligence people like you think the goal of giving feedback is instant change from the devs. But just because it canât stop a train that already left the station doesnât mean it canât give some clue for the next train on where to go, which leads to my next point
How do you expect the devs to know what to change if you literally donât tell them anything?
âhuuuur they donât listen so I donât say anything and leaveââŚ
Great, and now what?
The only thing you did is remove a problem from their map, the warning light that showed them something wasnât working right is not off and only the people that are fine with the state of things are left, which actively push the game further into the wrong path.
But as if you werenât happy enough to help to push the game into the wrong path, you are now also trying to shut down people that do light the warning, thus accelerating the process of pushing the game further and further away into said wrong path.
It always amazes me how clueless people like you, who obviously think very highly of themselves, are in reality. You keep trying to tell people what they should and should do and yet clearly donât know what impacts thos things can have or not.
Yes, âgamersâ like you who just stay silent when a problem arise and then try to silence people pointing out that problem. Sure, youâve left, good job, youâve now made sure that a large part of the player population is okay with whatâs going on.
This is just getting sad and pathetic ngl.
Nop. The only crazy people are are you, a guy that is literally too stupid for its own good, and that other guy over here who has now devolved into baby speak, you two are literally crazy.
The rest of the people here are just doing what a forum is here for, sharing their opinion on whatâs going on about the game, and it turns out, the vast majority of player donât like it, and for some reason that seems to trigger you to no end, which says more about you than them tbh.
Well, Iâve had a day to mull over how I feel about this, Iâve seen the polarized crying that goes on the r/eve/ subreddit as well as plenty of âseriously, itâs why cry over a two week event, you donât have to interact with it if you donât want toâ. But all in all, I just cannot see this in a positive light.
Crossovers do not belong in EVE. Itâs a self-contained universe with its own lore, and the focus should always be on that and the stories and experiences created by the personal stories of the players, corps and alliances. Having that overshadowed by a completely different franchise that isnât even remotely similar in tone to EVEâs lore and visual aesthetics and central themes just does not sit right with me.
I know that in game development, projects are undertaken months in advance so itâs not like having this event now is taking away time from rebalancing battleships and dreads, reworking structures and sov as conflict drivers but still, itâs about the message this sends versus showing that youâre actually continuing to make EVE a more interesting universe to be in long term
Think you might need a new hobby, other than patrolling a thread on a forum and trying to find posts to argue with. I donât think sending a personal email to a dev would work any better in practice since they would likely get too many to read each one individually, but honestly all i can do for myself is to vent out how i feel to make myself feel like i did something and hope that some kind of a collective voice that I contributed towards could play part in steering EVE to a better future, with people and ships in open, non-instanced space and plenty of big and medium-sized fights happening, not just between massive null blocs but also smaller groups
It isnât a boycott bruv. I simply stopped giving them money cause its no longer fun LOL.
Oh no sir, you misunderstand. You are my content
Find another game to play? ROFL.
Actually when paying customers leave, its usually a bad sign
Ah the irony. The air is rarefied where you are eh? Only you have secret knowledge huh
From the amount of salt produced, its clear the majority of players donât like it. Further proof that EVE is no longer EVE due to the player base.
We are sharing our opinions? Why is ours less valid than theirs? Interesting that its only less valid cause we donât agree. Its ok bruv, your gas lighting is 2/10 at best
The Force itself has also gone through several retconns. Ah yes, let the hate flow through you
To be clear, neither the Doctor nor the Daleks are coming to New Eden. We are being pulled into their Universe do to reasons on the Doctor Who side. To us it is just a really odd anomaly that happened for three weeks that one time.
We bring back artifacts from this place, but nothing beyond just some debris around a spacetime anomaly comes from there to here.
I just had a 2 hour interview with CCP Fozzie and Swift. I for one am satisfied that great measure was taken to make this work, and it is neither the first such wink to something in the real world (Toms Shuttle is an example) nor it is really the strangest thing that has happened recently.
What this DOES do is confirm the theory that EVE Online exists in a multiverse of shards one of which is likely the EVE Echoes universe that was created by the Caroline Star event.
Sure, they wont add the Doctor Who character or the Daleks, they are just going to give everyone Doctor Who costumes and maybe even Dalek Ships which will stay in the game forever (well the costumes at least).
So itâs okay guys, we wonât have thos things in the games during the 3 weeks, we just have people cosplaying as them in the game, forever.
That totally makes it better.
Canât wait when Iâll be able to get a Rick hairdo with a some custom Sharingan eyes to go with my wearing the Doctor Who scarf and Michelle Rodriguez bandana.
Itâs okay tho guys, there events will only be here for a month max!
Did you even played ANY game that has thos kind of limited crossovers that leave behind cosmetics?
Anyone with even just a passing knowledge of that kind of stuff could tell you that they just trash the game aesthetic coherence forever.
Exactly. Peeps be crying over something that isnât even that serious. Its embarrassing frankly. If I was CCP, Iâd reduce everyoneâs trig standings to -10 for a day and have them invade every single system with fleets at every single celestial.
But thatâs just me
I doubt itâll be hulls, its just gonna be skins for existing ships like always.
And yea probably clothes. Is a scarf worse than that cringe edgelord mask everyone uses? Iâve never related more to Snope in my life man.
Itâs not that the first EVE crossover event is Dr Who.
Itâs not that EVE is having crossover events.
Itâs that this is being done instead of and at the expense of a plethora of long-standing EVE Online core gameplay issues that players and the CSM have been flagging up for YEARS without anything being done to fix them.
Itâs the exact same level of hubris and arrogance that blew up in their faces 11 years ago during the Summer of Rage. That ended up with World of Darkness being canned, 200 devs losing their jobs and CCP offices around the world being closed.
It seems that CCP have forgotten about that and have gone back to taking us all for granted.
If the various major issues in EVE Online were being addressed, then nobody would be overly angry at crossovers.
Theyâre harmless fun and decent advertising opportunities.
