I was angry when the post office partnered with WH smiths and started putting post offices in Wh smith stores, I’m also angry with Sainsburys for buying Argos and putting them in their stores. I’m going to cancel my subscription with them!
Come on man, it’s a business partnership where both parties felt they have a stronger position working together and featuring on each others platforms.
I think the BBC and CCP can learn from each other, CCP can learn from BBC’s old school ways, and CCP can help BBC come out of their old fashioned ways.
From what I heard some CCP Devs say, it was the BBC that approached them for the crossover. Clearly CCP agreed it was a good synergy for both.
For BBC they get a boost to their failing series (failing by their own hand, but that’s been beaten to death on the forums already), CCP gets a boost of newer players that hopefully many will stay on long after the event ends.
no. they clearly agreed that money is good for their wallets and they don’t give a ■■■■ about the players anymore. If they cared about the players they would have asked them about this first. Instead of taking a wad of money to show us adverts.
actually, the game was created by hilmar and a few videogame nerds as a hobby. Thats why eve was so great at the beginning.
For nerds, by nerds.
But somewhere along the line they began hiring fresh “talent” with certificates, mobile developers, etc. And now we get things like the new skill UI, and Dr Who crossovers.
you can just see the rise and fall. We were averaging 40k players during peak hours. Now we’re lucky to hit 20k. half the player base is gone. And its because of ■■■■ like the blackout, scarcity, skills UI, fozziesov, endless nerfs, etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc
except there was no financial traction either end for this to happen. And delegate zero signed off on it, in regards to the lore aspect, and the ship skins do not look bad.
Literally yes. If you have an alpha account, you still count as an active player, just not subscriber. I’m sure they include you in the numbers. So uh, CCP still wins
ROFL. It isn’t bro. That’s lore. Reading up on it is lore. When you say immersion break, its because it breaks the RP you’re trying to do. Sorry bruv.
No it doesn’t ROFL, considering we’re going there, not them coming to us. And no, they can’t travel to EVE per the owners of the IP, who control the lore and the canon. No matter what you think can happen, its moot unless CCP says otherwise. So this alternative storyline you are concocting means nothing because it isn’t official. Its basically wattpad fanfic.
Man. You try real hard and still end up wrong. And you still quit a game over a scarf. It is delicous.
As they can as owners of the IP, which can dictate lore and canon. Hell, CCP could retconn everyone tomorrow as being part of the Matrix and New Eden is simply a simulation and there ain’t sweet all you can do about it.
That’s a nice opinion you got there You seem to be trying to pass it off as fact.
Again I feel like you simply toss around jargon without really understanding it. Although if I’m being honest wouldn’t you qualify as a masochist as you seem to be in great pain yet you keep coming back to daddy CCP for more. Interesting
People are literally just throwing tantrums over scarves. Like in a month it’ll be forgotten and I’ll look back on all these cry threads and just chortle.
So CCP ganked your soul and your money. Excellent
Who knew a British bloke could trigger people so hard LOL, imagine being this dude and being traumatized by a fictional character. Holy quafe. I legit like laugh snorted in real life. Thankee
A ship skin not an ad bruv. Please learn advertising kthx.
You realize by your logic the other skins are advertisements by CCP right? So why don’t you cry about those?
Uh huh. You been taking that lithium or
Imagine a for profit company liking money. Its crazy!
While I don’t like the idea of Eve Online doing a crossover event or particularly like the initial subject matter for this event, I can see how it could be tied in with the Eve Universe after viewing the general story-line description for Doctor Who in wikipedia.
Doctor Who depicts the adventures of a Time Lord called the Doctor, an extraterrestrial being who appears to be human. The Doctor explores the universe in a time-traveling space ship called the TARDIS. The TARDIS exterior appears as a blue British police box which was a common sight in Britain in 1963 when the series first aired. With various companions, the Doctor combats foes, works to save civilizations and helps people in need.
EVE has no time lords. EVE has no extraterrestrials. EVE has no time traveling space ships. (TiDi, as a result of heavy combat and with a lack of movement, doesn’t really count) EVE has no police boxes. EVE has no brittain. EVE has no companions in ships. EVE could give a ■■■■ less about civilizations and would rather watch people in need burn alive. I can see how you might think this is a fitting and appropriate match up.
That’s the part about the Doctor which has changed and irks fans.
The Doctor was never about going around and seeking out injustices to fight, help the needy etc. He was just out having a good time and adventure found him. In fact he upset the apple cart often trying to help (which came back to haunt him in later stories).
I never said anything like that. I said after reading the wikipedia description of Doctor Who, I can see how it could be tied in with the Eve Universe.
Sounds almost like a ‘Q’ from Star Trek…
Anyway, I’m not a big Doctor Who fan and was just going by what the wikipedia description stated.
However I do wish people would actually read the core content of what I posted:
