Does eve have an elitism problem?

I have seen you telling people that they are playing the wrong game quite often, I have rarely said that to any one, though I think counter strike is more your type of game…

You are a troll who makes personal attacks when you are unable to understand things, this exchange with Aaron is a classic example. Aaron was trying to explain to you the issue. And you had to mention me didn’t you, attention whore!

It is very simple, Eve is a team game, but because Stain has such poor logistic possibilities people do not really want to stay there, hence Aaron’s comments on the market and lack of modules and ships. This means that it is very difficult to get others to group up with you and is the main reason why Aaron is playing solo.

And around him are mostly Russians who have controlled the space around Stain many times but who currently don’t and have moved all their assets into Stain following their defeat by Legacy. They do level 4 missions there and also control certain areas. If you can play in very late EU TZ and the US TZ you do have it easy at least in not being bothered by sleeping Russians and people can make a lot of ISK. Aaron is EU TZ and he will overlap with active Russians.

I have done exactly what Aaron is doing, in fact I have still have a large amount of assets in Stain and I stopped operating in Stain because the logistics became too much of a pain for me in terms of using WH’s. I liked it when I could use a carrier to bring stuff in. I did not like having to use a JF or WH’s.

Many of these Russians are very good PvP players, the sort that really know how to hunt and get kills. I have contacts with some of them but there are some who really do not like anyone but Russians. There are also some pretty obsessive hunters too, and they are BLOP’s fanatics.

Aaron plays it especially well, he is a great example of people who do something really hard in terms of operating there and taking fights that most people would not bother with because certain loss. I respect him a great deal because of this, while you think blapping an atron in a thrasher is something special, he is often taking on three or more Russians.

Also Aaron has a history there having been there so long, and there are certain players or groups that hunt him obsessively.

You have no idea mate as per normal, perhaps if you want to learn just how hard Eve is then head down there and see if you can hack it. I don’t think you have it in you…

To me Aaron is elite because he plays Eve on hard mode.

PS Your question on the gate, I left it to Aaron to answer as you directly asked him, however I will also reply on this seeing as you decided to be an ass. No I think having a gate would ruin it, as being a hard to get to NPC 0.0 region makes it different. However I wish it was a bit easier to get carriers in.

I expected this question but supposed it is obvious.
0.0-sec - local chat list shows you are there and who you are. + static system connections
WH - no local means that you have a change to hide yourself. + random connections

Having anything equal in 0.0-sec you can do nothing if someone decides he wants you out. They know you are there (map statistics shows activity), they can see you are logged in, they can visit you at any moment.
In WH nobody knows you there if you are careful enough. And they will need to be really pissed off to spend time and effort to maintain real camping because of random connections. Especially if target has nothing of value to loot.

I honestly thought Stain would end up having more people there, I think we came very close to making it happen. I think the Psychology behind it was that people felt good about you and myself being enthusiastic about it. Remember that guy who used to scan out wormholes every day? I really admired that guy for his commitment to the cause.

Speaking generally it was great sharing that adventure in Stain with yourself and the guys that came down. We had some very cool people pass through, brilliant gameplay, epic story and it was very cool seeing yourself and the others grow. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that one day we may share another epic adventure.

It was good how they used a bit of subterfuge to pass intel, I actually laughed a lot when you told me who it was
